Beautiful Home with Caveats
The property was absolutely beautiful. The pool area is amazing and the pool is very large. There were a few minor issues we had but Florida Vacation Homes was very responsive and resolved the issues quickly. One thing to note is that the house was warmer than we'd have liked. Like many properties, the thermostat is limited at 74 degrees which is understandable since the units will freeze up when vacationers turn them down too low, but the unit struggled and never really got the house as cool as we'd have liked. Now to the one thing about this property that will absolutely keep us from renting it again…the neighbor. We had a very small
Bluetooth speaker we synced to our iPhone to listen to music in the pool area. So small and weak was this speaker that even turned up all the way you could barely hear it in the pool from the patio. The neighbor came out yelling for us to turn it down. Even though it WAS NOT LOUD at ALL, we turned it down some in an attempt to be considerate and to avoid a nasty situation. This attempt was in vein, because she called Reunion security on us TWICE after that and would come out on her patio while we were at the pool and sit and watch us. We reported this to FVH and they gave us a number for Reunion where we could make a complaint which nothing came of. The security guard who came out plainly told us that our music wasn't loud at all but still asked us to turn the music down because in his words “the neighbor looks for trouble and he didn't want to come out over and over for complaint calls”. In fact while he was standing in our doorstep speaking with us you could hear music playing and people having fun literally blocks away from our location. This was a deal breaker, we have come to Reunion for years, often multiple times a year and have never experienced anything like this.
