The sink was clogged when we arrived - there was a Horizon Vacation Homes representative in the kitchen assessing the situation. In other words the problem existed before we checked in.We agreed to stay one night while the problem was fixed. By the following morning there was no resolution so we left. I informed Horizon that we wanted a full refund. They gave us a partial refund-charged us for one night and the cleaning fee. It was a petty act on their part. The property was not usable as listed and that was known before we arrived. I would not recommend renting from Horizon Vacation Homes.

Villa is fine but beware of security deposit

We stayed for 8 nights, area is nice & great location. The villa on the whole is fine. Cleanliness was good but it could definitely use some maintenance. There was issues with the plumbing in the main bathroom. Dishwasher backed up into kitchen sink. AC was poor in main bedroom & no ceiling fan. A lack of towels, no bath mat & no kitchen towel. Also no parasol outside. My main issue was with the security deposit that was taken. Be aware that these guys take a hefty deposit & they took this 4 days before our arrival! I was told by Horizon that if no damages are incurred it would be refunded on the day of check-out & be back on my card in 2-3 days. 4 days after I returned home there was no sign of my refund. I had to email & also call them before they actually refunded my full deposit. It ended up being a week after my check-out before I received it back. I have stayed in multiple villas in Florida & have never encountered such a policy. I get they need a security deposit but usually it's just a hold on your credit card not an actual withdrawal! I also think the amount is way too much in my opinion. Then to top this off, I actually ended up being out of pocket with the fluctuation in exchange rates (USD to CAD). Because of the security deposit situation I wouldn't stay anywhere that is operated by Horizon Vacation Homes again. I think it's wrong that they take your money in the first place but to have to prompt them to actually give you it back is bad practice all round.

Relaxing

The house was beautiful and the pool is amazing but there is a rip in the screen so a few bugs get in. The counters were a little dusty and the bedding was kinda musty. Over all it was great and i would stay there again. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home

Holiday

The home is beautiful, the kids loved the pool. The video for lock improved the entry, since it was different then ours at home. I would make one suggestion, have the ducts cleaned as the covers were quite dirty. Anyone renting this property will enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood and how accessible it is to everything nearby in Orlando.

Not what was expected

After reading the previous reviews and noting the size of the pool we decided to rent this property over others. We were disappointed to say the least. I sent a list of things we noticed and they came out and fixed some of them. The pool was generally dirty. At first glance it was clean but it had so many little particles in there. It took over an hour for us to skim the first day we were going to use it, we ultimately decided to not (that’s when email was sent). They responded back that the pool was clean (they had someone come out) but there was still so much junk it in like it was coming from the filter or sides of the pool. Again, It appeared clean by glancing at it but it wasn’t clean. Twin bed were hard like previous comments stated. They gave just enough towels to cover the amount of guests the house sleeps but that means you’re doing laundry often-who wants to use the same towel for a week? Mold on the shower curtains (mentioned in email but didn’t do anything about). Also a lot of dirt build up in corners of bathrooms by tub. I guess overall you get what you pay for. It’s not a brand new house. Just slightly updated.

Fabulous Vacation

The house was just wonderful. It was clean, spacious and well equipped with what we needed. The pool was heavenly! The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We had a very hard time walking away when our vacation was over. Thanks for making this a true "what you see and expect" from the pictures is exactly what you get! We will hope to be back again someday.

Weekend Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay, the only cons were, my granddaughter said that the twin beds was as hard as a rock and I have to agree with her. Second con was the expensive cleaning fee because I think we probably left it cleaner than it was when we arrived, including disinfecting with Lysol. I really think you could rent more properties if the cleaning fee wasn't so outrageous. In another note the kids turned into fish because they lived in the pool😂

Beautiful home managed by a beautiful soul.

Very beautiful home. Yann was so helpful, understanding and full of life. He was always available to me even when my son locked the bottom lock which it clearly had tape on it so I don’t know why he would do that. But yann was immediately available and told me not to be mad at my son. Thanks for being who you are.

Xmas and new years

The home was beautiful and spacious. Exactly what we all needed. Every age group was in their area having fun. The pool was great. The super Wal-Mart was very close and they also had a liquor store which was exquisite to say the least. The restaurants were very close as well. YANN was very responsive to any needs we had. We definitely plan to return.
