Pass on this house

Large enough for party. Kitchen could use pot holders. Pool pavers were missing with holes, and grass was growing inbetween pavers. Pool edge had black mold. All needs to be power washed. A few bugs, cockroaches , to be exact, were in bedroom closets. One bedroom had so much cigarette smoke smell, a guest ended up with bronchitis.

Great space and location

The space for the family was great and only minutes from the parks. There were a few cleaning issues, the dishwasher was clogged and there weren’t many bath linens and no kitchen linens. Overall, it met our needs and the beds were very comfortable.

Good house that could be great

We recently rented this hours for a 12 night stay. This house is in a great location if you’re visiting Disney parks. There is a ton of space for 12 people. The resort is quiet and peaceful. When we arrived, the house was clean, there were plenty of linens. It was low in flatware but more was delivered to the front steps the second day of our stay. But as our stay went on, we noticed more and more little things that were broken. None of them were critical. The communication from the management company was lacking. They told us we could have three cars overnight and request a day pass for our local family that would be spending Christmas with us. This was not the case. We had family that drove two hours on Christmas Eve only to be told there is a 3 car max per rental. No day passes, no exceptions. They couldn’t get their car into the resort. The management company didn’t even know the rules. They also sent a maintenance man to repair a long list of things in the house in during our stay without letting us know anyone was coming. He just showed up at the house. When asked what he would have done if no one had been there, he said he was authorized to enter the house whether someone was there or not. They should have just waited until we checked out in 2 days. The pool area is no longer private. They are building behind the property. The construction wasn’t loud or disruptive. But it definitely lacks privacy now. All in all, we did really enjoy our stay. It is a good house in a fantastic location and it appears the owners are making improvements. It has a lot of potential to be great.

Could be an amazing house with attention to detail.

Overall, this is a great house as far as the layout and room size, location, etc. However, we did find that the cleaning was very lacking. My grandson found the razor end of an extacto knife in his bed. There was food on the floor under the furniture. The shower liner in the downstairs bath had moldy spots. Giving it an overall look it was fine, but once you got a closer look, it really needed attention. The listing states that linens were included. When we arrived there were two bath towels in each bathroom and one bathroom also had one hand towel. There were no washcloths anywhere and there were no kitchen linens at all. We did call the property management company who said someone would be out shortly with linens and they came three days later. By that time, we had made a trip to Walmart. The pictures on the website need to be updated, as behind the house is no longer private. There is some type of building construction. Overall given the availability of properties in Kissimmee, I would not stay at this property again. With attention to detail it could be awesome.

DIRTY AND RUN DOWN

we go to disney every year and stay at windsor hills. it is very close to disney and easy to get around. this is the first time that we have checked into a property in this condition. The property was very very very dirty. the carpets were sticky in places...stained almost everywhere, the stove was dirty the countertops were sticky, food on the doors and cabinets etc. there were 14 people at the home. there were 5 towels at the home. (i went to walmart and bought 15 towels) there were zero washcloths for dishes or personal showers, the eating utensils were almost non existent. i contacted managment and they had a person come over AFTER I SENT PICTURES SHOWING THE CONDITION. he said, "OH MY GOODNESS, IM SO SORRY. IVE NEVER SEEN ONE THIS BAD" He took lots of pictures. He said that they had just taken this property over from another management company. and not to worry. they would adjust the price to make it right. (personally i would have just preferred a clean house) doesnt matter though...because i never heard from them again. he said, we will send people to clean. no one came...we will bring over towels and forks etc. no one came. so...after renting on VRBO numerous times...i must say...this was not a good experience. Oh yes...one last thing. My granddaughter was taken to the ER. she has asthma. she couldnt breathe because the a/c filters were so dirty. you could write your name on the vents from the dust. Great location. Property has been run into the ground.

Parking/ communication horrible

When checking into the property, there was man in the property so we thought we were at the wrong location. After checking the address again - I walked back in and told the man that we were renting this place and he told me that he was the maintenance guy (he could have told me that in our first conversation). I wish the management team would have told me someone would have been there when we checked in. Secondly, parking here is a joke - I read the rules and read and understood that three cars could be parked on the property but extra vehicles could be parked at the clubhouse (At least this is the conclusion I came up with after reading the document sent to me). It was 6 couples driving in from different parts of Florida so obviously we all brought separate cars. So I find out that the resort only allows 3 cars in the property (no exceptions) - also wish that management would have stressed this strict rule. I get a message from the management team about the HOA notifying them of the extra cars. I responded and said that I understand the rules - are you aware of any safe places to park the extra vehicles (no response). Resort security came and told us that they would tow the extra cars if we didn’t move them - i agreed to move the cars and explained the situation. I also asked do they know a safe place I could park the vehicles? He said “no, but you have to move these vehicles.” So, i moved the vehicles to Walmart (thinking this would the safest place for them since there are no parking garages in the area) to later find out the next morning that both cars had been towed to a tow yard 20 min away. $175 per car to have the cars released so an extra cost there. Very unprofessional horrible experience. Please do better!

Great location, not so great property.

I rented this property for a two week stay in the Orlando area for three generations of adults in my family. The location was perfect as it was easy access to much of what Orlando has to offer. The neighborhood has many amenities such as a workout room and a wonderful water park/pool. The gated access gave you a secure feeling each time you entered or left. However, that is where the good things stopped. Upon arriving at the property I found trash on the front and side lawns. After entering the property, I was upset to find candy wrappers and clumps of hair on the stairs, dead roaches under the dining table, dead and alive roaches in the garage, a sliding door that would not open to the pool, weeds growing up through the pavers around the pool, when opening curtains, one of the rods fell off and hit me in the head as it was broken, a bag of weed (which my 74 year old father found) in the couch cushions, a used needle under one of the beds (again, my father was the one to find this while trying to locate a runaway sock), socks (not ours) out by the pool, socks (again not ours) between the couch and a side table, towels with makeup stains and holes in them. The first night my husband went out and bought tools to fix the sliding door so people could access the pool since my calls to the management property went unanswered. However, after the third number I found and called, the previous management company contacted me and provided what information they could to help me locate someone to help ....pretty sad. We cleaned (washed the towels and the makeup stains came out...ewwww) and repaired many issues (fixed lights, the handle on the sliding door), but there are so many more. Oh, and the privacy behind the house is gone due to construction on the property. We had crews out showing up predawn and out there all day. This house is in desperate need of TLC. And please, please update your pictures. Pictures and reviews are all that we who rent have to go on. We trust that these homes are being represented accurately. When that isn't the case, it is more than disappointing. And if you get messages from a renter, it would be nice to at least acknowledge them at some point during their stay....I called the first day and no one contacted me back during our two weeks at the property. I will definitely be thinking twice before using VRBO in the future now.

This place was Awesome!!!!

We had a blast in Florida. 2712 Manesty is very spacious and beautifully decorated. My kids loved their bedrooms and my wife and I felt right at home. The kitchen and appliances are top notch for cooking and plenty of dining space. Hanging out on the back patio and jumping into the pool. I felt like a kid again playing foosball, air hockey, and shooting pool. There is a club house at the front of resort but we really didn't feel the need to use it with everything we had staying with Frank and Winnie. The only thing I would have done differently is buy the heat for the hot tub for my wife. Thank you again Frank and Winnie for such a pleasant stay.

Met our needs

Our kids were delighted at the pool, specialty kid bedrooms, garage games and the sheer number of TVs in the house (haha!) The house was very convenient to Disney and a great bargain for the space. We slept great and enjoyed having the convenience of a kitchen and pulling right into the driveway after a long, hot day at the parks. The owners and property managers were very responsive to our needs and communicated well. A few suggestions for the owners: 1) please update your property’s pictures and profile to reflect the new construction going on directly behind the house. Sadly, it is no longer private, with a lovely view or quiet. 2) The property is in need of some TLC. A repainting of the property, an update of the back sliding door that requires some extra elbow grease to move, a check of the outlets (laundry light and hallway light were out) and closets being rehinged are recommended. 3) Please replace the bed crib mattress. It’s a great convenience for a renter and part of the reason why we chose the house but the mattress was far too soft for a young baby to sleep on. We were, however, thankful to also have the pack and play to use instead.

Epic Vacation

Property was the cleanest I have ever rented in Florida. Was my 4th stay at properties in Windsor Hills. This House was the best. Its beautiful. Also virtually across the street from a 24 hour Walmart. Club house pool and waterslides were a hit with all of us. We had 4 kids and 2 adults sharing this enormous house. Great Value. Frank was a great host.

Great family vacation home!

This house was perfect for our family trip to Disney and Universal. There were 10 of us which included us (grandparents), our adult children and their kids. The house was very clean, beds comfortable, and plenty of dishes. I also liked that there were 4 adult rooms (we had 7 adults) and 2 kid themed rooms(which also had a full size bed...perfect for our 17 y.o. grandson). The location was perfect for our daily trips to Disney and Universal. The heated pool was nice after a long day at the parks. Very nice spacious clean house. Really enjoyed all being able to be together instead of be spread out in hotel rooms.
