We stayed here for 6 days and while the space is nice, there are some pros and cons to this house. Pros: Great size for a large family. We had 17 people total, and had plenty of space. Beds were great. Nice to have lots of bathrooms. Loved the open concept on main level-kitchen, dining and living room. Loved having a safety gate by the pool to keep kids safer. Great customer service. Cons: super old, moldy dishwasher that doesn’t dry. No spices. Small amount of kitchen gear-pots/pans. No fans in kids themed rooms. Ice maker in freezer didn’t work. Dart game didn’t work. Lots of run down items. Washing machine and dryer were small for our family size. Dryer took forever to dry. Pictures are likely from when it was first listed. Theater room had a broken recliner and was a struggle to connect to. Pool table had some broken tips. Hot tub took quite some time to heat up. And the pool size was ok, but not big enough for all 17 of us to be in. Perfect size for maybe 10-12(mostly kids). As a rental, you can’t expect amazing condition, but everything should be in working order. We were a bit disappointed. However it is about 20-30 min from Disney. 1.5 hrs from the beach. And has a resort pool that is big enough for everyone. The surf pool is not included.

This property is a wonderful size for a big family/group. The beds are comfortable, the house is clean and also comfortable. Check in and communication was well done. When we had issues, the staff was available and prompt in solving our concerns.I would recommend a better stocked kitchen. Considering the house can accommodate up to 22 people, there were only 2 small frying pans, and few cooking utensils. It was stated that there were spices available, but there were none. There were no dish towels in the kitchen. There was plenty of silverware, plates and cups tho.I would also recommend a heavy duty washer and dryer considering the home is used by many people for long periods of time.

March 17 - 30 2025 Stay

The games and theater room functioned well and were enjoyed by all. However, there were problems. The refrigerator icemaker and water dispenser were not working properly. These were corrected within a half a day of being reported to Villatel. The dishwasher racks were partially covered with dark mold. They said they had no other racks in stock. They sent someone to clean it the next day and they removed most of it, but could not get it out of all the corners and intersecting parts and so we still thought it was unsanitary. They said they would be back, but never addressed the issue again, so we had to wash and dry the dishes for 10 people by hand. The worst issue we dealt with was the pool circulation/heating system not working properly so that we could get a reasonable water temperature. I had to report this the first day and basically everyday of our stay. The Villatel techs would come out anywhere from within a few hours to the following day to try an adjust the temperature or change a valve, but never corrected the problem. We were frustrated/aggravated our whole vacation. Toward the end of our stay, it took 3 calls and 4 days to get a supervisor. I felt Villatel should refund me 3 days of my 13 day stay plus the additional pool heat fee for my troubles. Villatel grudgingly refunded me the pool heat fee basically a 1 day charge as they said we still had a functioning pool. I would not recommend staying there.

Pros and Cons, Overall Recommend

Positives: The house is very spacious and all of the furniture is comfortable. Our children loved the arcade games, themed rooms, and pool. We did not see a single insect in the house! Amazing! The resort restaurant had great food and drinks, and the resort pool area is quite nice. We were very pleased with the price, considering all of the amenities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Neutrals: When we had issues and had to call Villatel, someone always answered and responded cordially; however, it seemed to take multiple days and/or requests to get some of our concerns addressed. Negatives: There were four giant bags of dirty laundry on the pool patio when we arrived and not enough towels in the bathrooms. It wasn't until the day after we arrived that we had one towel per person. The movie room projector was not working properly, nor was the sound bar. The projector was fixed by Villatel, but the volume never was, so we were never able to use the movie room. The dishwasher did not clean properly and had black mold in it. The ice maker in the fridge didn't work. Please note: the resort does not recycle. It was SO painful to have to throw away recyclables all week. How are people still not recycling?????

Overall we’re impressed that property was as advertised. Minor issues were addressed promptly. The only issue we had was getting the movie theatre to work- instructions were not correct and access to unit was not possible as it is in a locked cage. Communication with ownership group was great

Absolutely unbeatable

They thought of everything! This house looks brand new and just like the pictures, with only a couple minor indications that it’s been rented before. Villatel stocked this house with enough dishes, cups, cookware, and utensils for my party of 16, with considerate extras like a high chair and stepping stool for kids, and there was ample counter and pantry space for everyone’s kitchen needs. Mattresses were really comfortable, there was enough hot water for showers after sweaty park days, there were more than enough pool and bathroom towels for everyone. We also accidentally discovered it’s a very safe neighborhood when we left our rental car door open after unloading the car one night, nothing was missing from our car the next morning (they do have a gate with security). Solara Resort is amazing, kids loved the splash pad area. We didn’t have any issues that we needed to contact Villatel about during our stay, mainly because of all the considerations already in the house, but also because they email a guide to the home’s amenities a few days ahead of time, so we knew way more about the house than just how to unlock the door. There also was a wall-mounted tablet next to the kitchen with the home guide in it, so I didn’t have to keep referring back to my email, everything was right there when I had a question. Everyone in my group was very pleased with this house, and we would definitely stay there again!

Can’t wait to go back!

The house lives very large! Something for all ages! Plenty of seating! The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time at the home. I was a bit surprised there was no salt and pepper or any seasoning at all. No paper products other than toilet paper. There was no aluminum foil, plastic wrap etc. We were accustomed for those things to be available and we always left extras for the next family. However that is just an observation not a complaint! Thank you!

Family vacation

Loved this property, just as listing stated. The only thing I would do different next time is not rent the grill, food stuck to it and I would not add heat to pool/hot tub. Hot tub wasn’t getting hot so I called. The next day the hot tub was hot but the pool was also so hot we couldn’t swim in it. But overall a great stay!

Great space for multiple families spring break fun!

We stayed as 4 families of friends, a total of 8 adults and 11 children ages 5-11. We had a blast and the property is as pictured. The heated pool and spa were great and the kids were hardly out of it. Great location near many local attractions with good on site activities and offerings. We will be back for another stay someday!
