Solara Resort

I rented this property with some friends and my girlfriend to go to Disney and the other parks and the Property was nice and looked exactly like the pictures however it was a little dirty (holes in wall, baseboards were covered with dust, etc.). In addition, several other things occurred: the property randomly lost power during our stay (all other units around us had power) For several hours and we had to call emergency services, the owner did not send us the link to pay till a month before our trip and then said we were past due and initially cancelled our reservation and we had to rebook with her when we made her aware we had just gotten the link, the only other annoying thing was that none of the remotes for the fans had batteries. I would probably not stay here again and look elsewhere if you’re staying in the area as there are plenty other of the same style rentals.

Great vacation but house was mediocre at best

The house is in a great location within the Solera resort, close to the amenities Solera has to offer which were wonderful. The house is very large but needs A LOT of fixing up before it could be considered clean and accurate to the online listing. If the house was maintained and cared for appropriately it could be an amazing rental home. However, these are the issues our group had with the listing; - There were only 4 forks for the whole house! - There were holes in the walls in multiple rooms. - There were tons of dings and scuff marks everywhere. -The kitchen stools were peeling and dirty. -The floors were disgusting upon our arrival. The bathroom our kids were going to use had dirt, sand and HAIR all over the floor. -The listing says it includes beach towels, however there were only 3 very gross old towels that you could possibly consider to be a beach towel. -There were NO RUGS anywhere in the entire home. We ended up having to use towels as rugs so our children wouldn't slip and fall when coming in from the pool. -Multiple things in the home were broken. The top dishwasher rack fell out if you opened it. One of the kitchen drawers was completely missing. -We also pulled out used dirty dishes from the cupboards and had to wash them before we could use them. -The air hockey table is completely non usable and there is one puck that looks like a dog chewed it up. -Only 2 of the 4 pool lounging chairs are usable. The backs are broken on two of them. -There were lamps throughout the home but many didn't even have lightbulbs in them. Our biggest disappointments were the non functioning TV's, being charged $35 per day for pool heat and paying to rent a grill for the week and it wasn't even there the first day. I even inquired with the rental property prior to our stay regarding the previous reviews on the TV's and I was assured the problem was rectified. This was not the case, there was a TV in every single room and we could only get one to work. We will never rent a home from Executive Villas Florida again.

Great family home

This is one of the best resorts that I've stayed in. the location was everything (close to major stores, highway, and Disney) Great resort for small kids and teenagers. The house was open and great size rooms, but the downside was the upstairs bedrooms had no cable Box so none of the television didn't work. The house can use a paint touch-up. The walls through the home is dirty. But I definitely will book again.

Lots of room

We really enjoyed the home overall. A few things that I didnt care for , only cable in the main living room and one master bedroom . All other TV's in the home you had to hook up your own device to be able to watch anything. There was not one kitchen towel , hot pad or wash rag. We did end up buying a nice set , I hope it stays with the home for the next guest. This house has lots of space for multiple families or friends and the location is great !

There’s Better

Third day there, went to parks came back and no electric....all neighbors had electric but not this one....food in fridge was warm and ruined so had to have been off all day, reported the outage to resort management it seemed to be a common issue with them...was back on around 11:00 pm...no explanations, no apologies and no offer to reimburse for grocery loss. With all the resorts available in area, we will not be staying at Solara Resorts again-BTW the air hockey table is useless without a puck, would’ve been nice to have one.

Spent a lot of time with maintenance

We arrived and it was clean. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work and we were working remotely while having family time. Spent the first day battling that and on the phone with the help desk and running back and forth resetting the router - Guess what? 5 days later still no WiFi. Had to leave and go somewhere public to get it. That was very disappointing. The jets on the hot tub did not work. They said they would note that but not fix it. The heat wasn’t working they did send someone for that. All the ceiling vents were closed. So someone was there for over an hour working on that. But then we did have heat. The air hockey didn’t work- wires torn out and no puck. The place is large that is a positive and the community was nice. We were just disappointed that we were on the phone so much with them and only got one issue resolved and the reply was they were very busy and didn’t know when they would get things resolved. And it turns out they didn’t. Liked the house wasn’t impressed with the company that runs it. And for being newer the issues we had.

They are not prepared for renters

The house is beautiful but we were the 1st renters. They barely completed the house before we came. They didn't finish putting the furniture together. When we sat on the sectional it came apart. The linens were taken directly out of the packaging and put on the beds. We coughed the whole time when in the house. I finally washed all the linens on day 5 of 7. We then got some relief but not much. I think the drywall and other construction powder was in the house. Numerous emails and the point of contact didn't seem to care. We asked to have the pool heated and 4 days went by before I asked the young man cleaning the pool to check it. He was able to fix it. Numerous emails for this too. Point of contact didn't seem to care. The lights in the house kept coming on and off all times of the day. I sent another email concerned about our safety and someone came out 24 later. The house was missing blinds and curtains in 1 of master bathrrooms and the living room. No privacy at all in the living room. The resort is pretty but it closes at 6. The whole place is under construction so everyday at 7AM the trucks, hammers etc begin. Very noisy. The worst part of the stay was the point of contact simply did not care. I would never stay there again.
