The home was spectacular. Much nicer than could be conveyed in the listing. We planned for 10 guests and only 3 showed up, so this place was like a luxury hotel for our tiny group. The private pool and hot tub were super convenient and we enjoyed both.At check in the pool needed some attention and the host had it taken care of by the end of the day. The host was responsive to all messages which was much appreciated.As with all things, the experience was not perfect. The marketing of this property was not what I would consider fully transparent. The property is advertised as having a heated pool and a hot tub. Well, it does have these amenities, but if you actually want the hot tub to be “hot” then you must pay an extra daily rate. Same with the “heated pool”. There is no mention of additional fees in the listing. There was also and no mention of it in the contract…until 11 days before check in. (I rented it months in advance).The additional fees made the his rental just a tad above the cost to rent other comparable properties but with an advertised rate that was significantly less. The lower cost was the reason I chose this property. But I would imagine that’s the whole marketing angle for this property.This means of marketing appears to be permitted by VRBO. They did not seem to care.At the end of the day I am not even mad about it. We had a blast and the house was great. Just beware of what to expect.
