Really enjoyed our stay at River Dunes. The community is beautiful, and this property is right on the harbor, with a wonderful view of the sailboats docked at the marina. Porches front and back made for wonderful outdoor space. River Dunes pool was great, staff at RD were wonderful, and there were s'mores and fireworks on July 4. Regarding the property, my only two minor complaints are that the ice maker in the freezer did not work, and the wi-fi stopped working on our second day. This wouldn't be much of a problem, except this house (and most of river dunes) is in a dead zone for cell coverage, so we were completely disconnected when at the house. In addition, there was no landline. There should really be a landline provided in the home, and the listing should indicate that there is no cell-service. Otherwise, totally wonderful property and stay. A word of advice, plan to bring/buy groceries and do most of your eating in the home. River Dunes has a cafe that is open for breakfast and lunch, but it is not 7 days a week. The pool bar is only open Thurs-Sun. The harbor club serves a seated dinner several nights a week, but that is your only dinner option in the community. Dining options in the town of Oriental (10ish minute drive) are extremely limited, and are crowded during the summer.
