"We picked this location because it was close to several good hiking locations. It’s a little on the pricier side, but I imagine that’s why. No complaints from my party. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the neighbor’s dog. It’s right in the highway so one may have an issue with road noise. We were so tired from our hikes, we slept soundly both nights we stayed."

"Stayed for 3 full days with my wife for our 10 year anniversary, and still felt like there was so much more we could have done in the area! Situated perfectly outside of the Redwood national forest, and also lots of beach and coast to take in. If you love the great outdoors like we do, I can't recommend this cottage enough. "If you like to be off the grid, this is a great place to stay. We do this once a year and completely unplug from phones, computers, etc. This place was perfect for exactly that. It's remote and there's nothing better than the sound of a river. We had a total of 4 adults, 3 kids, and our 2 labs. Everyone had a wonderful time. It's a little bit of a walk to the river but once there, it's secluded and water is crystal clear. Thank you, Jim, for allowing us to stay at your place. "
