Orellana de la Sierra is a small village of 200 residents, typical of Extremadura’s “Siberia,” where you can enjoy water sports such as swimming, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, boat rides, and more.
You can go horseback riding through the Sierra de Pela. The area has been designated a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA). You can admire the wide variety of birds in the area, including griffon vultures, storks, eagles, great bustards, and one of the most important crane roosting sites in Extremadura.
