This was a great place to stay and enjoy the beach and the beautiful Oregon coast. It was the perfect escape for us and our pup to head out and whale watch, walk the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Spontaneous Getaway

It was perfect. Location beautiful and I loved watching the ocean from huge comphy chair. Bed was comfortable. Pictures don’t do justice as all the floors are newly updated. Small but efficient and perfect for us. The housekeepers take pride in doing a great job.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay and will likely come here again. The cottage is right on the beach, but know that car sounds from nearby 101 may encourage one to sleep with the windows closed and a fan on to drown out the sound. We didn’t have any need to communicate with the property manager.

Nice updated property on the sand

The stay was great. Bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. Kitchen was small but great for a week. There is a convention toaster oven and 2 burner hot plate. Good for tacos and spaghetti. The owner has updated the flooring from carpet and linoleum to a black walnut finish (not shown in photos). It was super pet friendly and easy to sweep sand up.

Magnificent Views

There was a key lockbox by the door and so it was really easy to attain entry. Pets are allowed and I loved that there was a yard area to take them outside to go potty. There were a few things that I think should be addressed. It was difficult to turn on the shower and I had to look up the model number of the faucet and find a video how-to to turn it on. I think that a lot of people may have had issues with this because the handle was squeaky and hard to turn and this may have been caused by people trying to find a way to turn the shower on. The shower curtain is trash bag material, so it stuck to you a lot and I was afraid that it would rip. It also would be nice to have an over-sink dishes drainer, since there is no place to put your dishes between washing them and drying them. We accidentally dropped the paper towel roll into the sink as well because it did not have a holder. But overall, the place was nice. The view of the ocean was breathtaking, especially at sunset.

We were looking for a pet friendly place and tried this place, very happy with our choice

Clean, enough space for two, would not do more. Nice location ground floor, great for our dogs, very clean. We will be back. I tried vacuuming since our dogs are shedding now but the vacuum really did not work well.

Great view, good location, and close to the beach.

If you want to be right on the beach with unobstructed views, this is the place for you. The beach is right outside your cottage--probably only 100 feet or so. You can walk for miles! The full front windows gives enhance the view and in good weather you can sit on the deck and take it all in. I appreciated the ability to bring my yellow lab--who had a wonderful time on the beach! Funny thing.....I think it was "Lab Week" when we went. Seemed like all the guests along the row had black or yellow labs. Also...it was relatively quiet, even with 101 close by. The cottage is between Yachats and Waldport--with short drive up to Newport. So a great location. The cottage was VERY clean and had extra nice linens: many fluffy towels, comfy sheets, and lots of bed pillows. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Although the kitchen was minimally stocked, it was certainly adequate. I brought my own small toaster oven since it does not have a stove/oven. They even furnished "dog dishes" and old towels to dry off/clean your dog. The only draw back I found was the seating was not to my liking. (photos need to be updated) One large (huge) Naugahyde chair and a new but hard, armless futon. I am small in stature, so I used pillows in the chair to make it more to my liking. They electric fireplace (ambiance only) did not work--but that's no big deal. All in all, it was a nice little place to stay.

Wouldn't recommend

First off the door doesn't lock. I was able to walk right in, the key left didnt work for the dead lock so we couldn't leave the house secured. I would only say this place sleeps 2. The futon was as hard as a rock and the sheets and blankets left for it were mildewy and extremely smelly to the point the it stunk up the whole living room. The fridge doesnt get cold enough to cool anything. The location is great, its close to a lot of sights and it is right on the water but that was about it.

Extremely clean! Beautiful cottage right on the beach. Even with neighbors it's still nice and quiet but you can definitely hear the roar of the ocean. We loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat! Only drawback whatsoever is that this particular unit did not have a range/stove. I should not have assumed it would. Would have been nice to have an oven or at least an electric grill instead of just a single hot plate.
