This was our 3rd year staying in this unit. We stay in Summerchase because it is near my sister. The decor is dated and not taken care of, we really saw it this year. The mattress in m bedroom is old and instead of replacing it a foam topper was used. We hate the old rug under the table, I'd rather there not be one there! And….the unit had a smell that we could not get rid of. We did rent it for next year, hoping we can find a different unit. Maybe the owner will come and update some things?

Recent Stay at Summerchase

We had a great stay at Summerchase over the July 4th holiday week. Very clean, the bedrooms and living area were spacious, and it was quiet. The view from our balcony was just awesome! We used the inside & outside pools and hot tub and the kiddos enjoyed playing ping pong! We will definitely stay here again!

Beach fun!

Great property! Love how peaceful the beach was. It wasn’t as crowded as the neighboring areas. Condo was great for 4 adults and 2 kids. Indoor pool has a great view of the beach. Wouldn’t mind staying here again next time we are in Orange Beach.

Summerchase 5th floor

We really liked the unit and the complex very much. Being on the beach nothing is going to be spotless but overall it was very nice and worked well for us.

Great condo, on the beach close to shopping and restaurants

We have stayed at Summerchase a couple of other times. It is always great. This condo was excellent. Clean and convenient. Pool area was clean and well kept up. Beach was also well kept up. Overall a great experience. Plan to always stay at Summerchase. Would stay in same condo if available.

Review

TVs didn't work in two of the rooms. Summerchase and the room were both every clean. Pools were nice. Hated we had to pay a fee to check in early. Didn't have to do that the last time.

Spring break for us Hoosiers

Some updating needed like pillows and mattresses...small chairs needed in guest rooms so not always have to sit on bed...furniture comfortable, had all the basics in kitchen...my husband is a licensed/bonded contractor and he sees issues with water coming down halls from registers...amenities like pools, game room, hot , tub, etc. all nice..lobby nice...Mike, one of the maintenance men, was especially nice guy...

503 Summerchase Review

The property was clean and nice. The space was just enough for our family of six. The location of the building was awesome and the area of the beach was not busy. The downfall is the bedding is not comfortable and the mattresses are hard and also uncomfortable. The mattresses need replaced. When you book a one week vacation, you are looking forward to comfortable rest and none of our family got that unfortunately. Hopefully those get replaced soon!

Excellent Stay!

This property received a 4 ⭐️ due to a few things that could’ve been improved. Understandably but regretfully we found mold in the Keurig, under the rug by the sliding glass door, and one of the sinks in the master bath drained SUPER slowly. Our keyless code to get in didn’t work at check-in so we had to call while standing at the door with all our belongings. These issues didn’t harbor our stay, were easily remedied, and the location to all amenities and most importantly the beach more than made up for it. I would stay at this location again in the future.

Room was clean. Two extra rooms had TVs but neither one of them worked. The dryer took forever to dry clothes. Summerchase was clean and the pools were fine. We have stayed at Summerchase multiple times. This was the check in process was easy we just didn't like that we couldn't check in earlier without a fee. Last time, the room was ready early and we were able to go on in without a fee. We would have paid for the extra night on Friday if the price wasn't so high.

The property itself was nice and clean. Our room had one working remote for all tvs, the internet wouldn’t allow for Netflix to work. There was no broom to sweep, there was leftover coffee under the coffee pot as if the counter wasn’t wiped. The door code never worked and we had to use one given after we called about our original code not working. The day we arrived there was sand on the couched and chair as if it had ent been cleaned. There were not blankets to use while sitting on the couch/chair.

The condo was clean and fully furnished. Beautiful views. We had a few issues that started with the access code to get into the condo. So, I called property management and they were able to get me a new code. The ice maker would not working properly so we had to go to the nearby store to purchase a few bags of ice to use for our stay. Also, the washing machine kept going out of balance no matter how little of amount of clothing that was put in it which was getting us a bit frustrated. This was our first year using BEACHBALL Properties as our rental company and they were very helpful. We will definitely consider using them in the future.

Not Clean Enough

The location of this unit was great and everything was close by, but nobody really cleans the unit before you arrive. Our shower had MOLD growing in numerous places, the guest shower had sand in it, the baseboards, furniture picture frames etc have a layer of dust and dirt an inch think, it's quite disgusting. Sure someone comes and wipes down the sink and mirror, but the unit isn't actually cleaned more than what I could do in about 20 minutes. I took pictures to post so you can see exactly what I'm referring to, but there isn't a link to post them.

Beautiful Gulf View / Terribly Uncomfortable Furniture :-(

- When we arrived, we noticed a smell coming from the garbage disposal, fortunately it dissipated after running the disposal for a few moments with water running, don't know why they couldn't have done that - In the kitchen we also noticed the coffee maker, a nice Keurig, had coffee grinds and slime in it, glad we brought our own - Still in the kitchen, the microwave light over the stove was not working so it was difficult to see while cooking on the stove - One more kitchen item, several of the dishes and silverware in the cabinets and drawers were dirty - The kitchen was well stock with dishes, pans, cups, glasses and cooking utensils - The dining room had a nice glass top table and cloth chairs - The living room furniture was leather and at some time I'm sure it was good but we found it to be worn out and packed down, made our backs hurt to sit on it, we bought some patio furniture cushions to lay on the seats and it was at least bearable - Flipping the switch in the master bathroom turned on both the light and the fan, the fan was very loud, we called and they fixed it after three days - The master and front bedroom's mattresses were very hard and the pillows were wimpy and worn out, management did bring a mattress topper for the master bed and that made the remaining four nights restful - There was a fairly adequate bench for dressing in the master bedroom, the other two bedrooms had no chairs or benches - The balcony is small but offers a fantastic view of the Gulf of America! Wicker furniture looks nice but the cushions were not comfortable - Lastly, drawers in several rooms were not attached to their rollers, therefore, they would fallout or tilt down if you weren't careful when opening
