Nice Condo, Terrible Resort

The condo was nice and clean. No real complaints about the condo itself except one of the beds had sand in it and the master bedroom mattress was absolutely horrible, worst I’ve ever slept on. My main issue was with the Phoneix V resort itself. A low quality (and essentially cheap) resort attracts low quality people. I would strongly discourage anyone who doesn’t drink all day and party all night to spend a little more money and stay somewhere else decent, especially if you have children. The Phoenix V is not a classy place. I witnessed several incidents including a fist fight and I was only there 3 days because my son had a class trip. It was shocking to be exposed to this type of behavior from adults, but I understand some classes of people would fit right in. If you’re looking for a nice family resort, then look elsewhere because it’s not the Phoenix V.

Needs updating….

The condo was pretty clean but is in need of updating, which we realized when booking. The bathrooms and kitchen, bedding and some furnishings could be upgraded. Then of course the rate would be increased 😊 Great location, loads of amenities and when the lobby construction is completed, Phoenix V will be super nice!

Family Getaway

We had a good time! I was not thrilled about having to pay an extra $55 to park. It would have been nice if that were included in the room rate. Also did not like being made to wear a plastic wristband like I'm at the local fair. It left a tan line, which isn't that big of a deal, yet, still annoyed me! I realize it's for safety; however, it was inconvenient and childish.

Beach getaway

We enjoyed our stay here. The condo was pretty well kept up. The closet where the trash is kept was dirty. Walls were dirty from people throwing away trash in there. You only get one hand towel in the kitchen to use for your time there. Thought that could change. There were five of us in the condo for 6 days. We all felt as though the beds were too hard. The living area and views were gorgeous. Easy beach access. There were 2 beach chairs left behind that was nice to have as well. The pool was fun for the kiddos after a long day at the beach. The outdoor pool was our fave. The indoor pool was fine but loud and very hard to breathe due to chemical smells. 2/3 hot tubs were working. The condo building was very busy and at times, it took a very long time to use the elevator. Thankfully this condo was on the 3rd floor so we mostly used the stairs. The condo had utensils we needed to make easy/quick meals. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap etc. Also, a lot of the outlets wouldn’t work in the living areas. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The views were beautiful. Nothing better than shark/dolphin watching with a cup of coffee.

Condo and property were awesome. But had some guest just down from us who were extremely loud at around 2 am and they were smoking marjuana on the balcony that we couldn’t enjoy it Friday and Saturday

Family vacation !!!

We usually make a yearly trip to either Orange Beach or Gulf shores , I guess it just depends on pricing at the time because it’s really the same beach, the property was perfect and the view was what we’ve been waiting to see !! Thank you for inviting us in and letting us stay. I was thinking it would of been nice to leave behind unused items or items that wasn’t used , like extra trash bags , paper plates or paper towels that weren’t open , almost like a community donation for the ones that use the room, I guess covid takes effect to , but would of still been nice to leave it for the next guest . Another idea to we’ve seen before where the owner leaves almost like a diary for the family’s that stay to write a little note or what not for there experience. It was just neat and the kids got to write something to that they enjoyed. Thank you again for letting us stay !!! Would highly recommend and will most definitely be staying there again. Everything from the room to beach was clean . And staff were all professional and very polite. I don’t really understand the additional parking fee if we’re wearing the bracelet, but still not a deal breaker .

Great view; close to everything

Our stay was in early March. Weather cool a couple of days, low temps/high winds the other days, but still enjoyed our stay. It was just what we needed to relax. Loads of restaurants and shopping nearby. Condo roomy, clean and had everything we needed. Recommend!

CLEANING

My only issue is that the cleaning service needs to do a better job. We found food under the recliner when we slightly moved it under. Clear shower curtain was broken but I guess nothing was ever said by cleaning crew. Tags from last renters from clothes that were purchased were on the floor. Sheets did not smell as if they had been cleaned. I could go on but I feel you get the point. I believe when we left it was cleaner than when we came in except the sheets I pulled off the bed and left on the washer and dryer to be cleaned.

Complex could use updating.

Couch in condo was caved in and not comfortable. Cleaning could have been better we had to wipe down everything ourselves. Pool was nasty and hot by the end of the day. No one monitored it at all and one day there was what looked a diaper exploded and was left in the pool all day. Everyone was friendly and location was great!! Room was laid out nice. There was no privacy on the balcony. You can and hear everything.

Just OK

The layout of the condo is great, but the balcony is NOT private. You can hear and see everyone all the way over to the next condo. The kitchen is lacking, not even enough utensils and bowls for 6 people and there is only a coffee maker. Plan accordingly if you want to cook. The beds seemed sloped, but the location close to the beach was great. Easy access if you drive to everything. Loved the beach!

Average beach front condo

First time to Alabama gulf coast. Did not seem any different than south Florida gulf coast. The unit was nice but not extraordinary. It was clean and what we needed. Nothing extra in the kitchen. The balconies are so close you feel like you are part of your neighbors conversation. The amenities were appreciated. Sometimes check in was slow because they only had one person at the desk. The beach was totally awesome. So to sum it up the place was just ok but ok in a great location.
