We had all of 9 nights stay and could hav stayed longer. What a base for the area we had a rental car and travelled to near by towns . The host Debbie was wonderful and so helpful. The apartment was more than we expected so we will be back one day 10/10

Classic luxury in Opua

This property is amazing, classic old building in a beautiful location. We keep coming back as it is such a relaxing place to unwind in the bay of islands. Very well equipped kitchen/laundry, and comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms. Beach right in front, walking trails to the north and south, and a convenient store and a takeaway just a hundred metres up the road.

Peaceful Harbor Home

Relaxing stay in a fantastic location overlooking Opua harbor. Our upstairs unit had an outdoor deck overlooking the bay, where we spent time watching the boats & ferries come and go mornings & evenings.The apartment was spacious & well stocked. The host responded immediately to us, and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant, comfortable stay. The house manager, Debbie, was extremely friendly & helpful.Exceptional location in a historic building!

A fabulous weekend in the BOI

We were super-impressed with this property. Very tastefully renovated to a high standard and furnished with period pieces in keeping with the age of the building. Everything you could possibly need was supplied, including beach towels and coffee machine. I for one will be returning sometime! Debbie is a gem and very friendly and helpful. I left a paid or sandals under the dining table and she very kindly sent them to be by courier - thanks so much Debbie!

Loved the water front balcony view

This three bedroom and two bathrooms was fabulous for our family of 4. We loved sitting on the balcony and having a cuppa and watching the world go by. Was only a short drive to Paihia. As a bonus had a washing machine and dryer. Check in was super easy

Really outstanding

This property was a bit out of the way but made up for that in every other way. It has a fully equipped kitchen, is comfortably furnished and has a killer view of Opua Bay. Property manager was very friendly and efficient. You won’t be disappointed

Family stay for wedding in area

We had a fantastic stay at Opua. The house is beautifully decorated and the photos don’t do it justice. The views are stunning and it is a a very relaxing place. The caretaker Debbie was very helpful and friendly and we highly recommend!Thank you!

Fantastic home, location and host.

We loved our stay, it is a fabulous location and the house is comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. I especially loved the outdoor chairs in several spots around the house, plus there’s everything provided for cooking, washing etc as well. It lived up to our expectations, and more! 6 nights went quickly! I thought I might have problems with the stairs going up the side of the house (bad knees) but thankfully they’re fairly low rise steps so it was fine. Waking up to that view every day and having somewhere to sit and relax and watch the ferry come and go and enjoy watching was heaven. The walk along the shores towards Paihia is also a great activity. The host Delwyn and manager Debbie are wonderful and helpful with everything. Thank you so much.

We had a great time enjoying the wider area - Opua is a great spot to explore Bay of Islands from, The house is very comfortable and clean, with awesome water views. Great comms and service. Enjoyed using the kayaks. Would happily stay again.

Introduction to NZ’s North Island

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful, historic building, with lovely views and comfortable, clean rooms. Amenities were A+ and we would recommend this accommodation to people of all ages and interests.
