"We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer had we had the time. The cottage and property were absolutely beautiful, offered everything we needed, and Laurel was a lovely hostess. The breakfast with fresh fruit grown on site was a perfect way to get acquainted with Hawaii. We had to google what some of the fruit was and how to eat them. So much fun, and super fresh and delicious. Great experience!"

"Wir hatten alles vor Ort, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub zu zweit braucht. Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Als Selbstversorger bekommt man alles Nötige in der näheren Umgebung. Vom Gastgeber wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und mit Fragen hätten wir jederzeit zu ihm kommen können. Wer abseits der Touristenströme nach einer netten, friedlichen Unterkunft sucht, der ist hier genau richtig. Von unserer Seite aus können wir die Unterkunft nur empfehlen."

"Great location. We wanted seclusion and it did not disappoint. I see some reviews complaining about the road to the house but that is what I loved. The connecting road is a little steep and bumpy but to get away from the crowds or tourists' areas, I can put up with a little rough road. We rented a Jeep because we planned on going to hard-to-reach beaches, etc., and did not have any problems. I do have to mention that the description of the property is not correct on the Vrbo page. "We stayed for 5 nights. The house is lovely, clean, very well equipped. There are thoughtful additions like coolers and ice packs, beach towels, aloe for sunburn! The location is quiet and furnished tastefully, beds also v comfortable. We loved driving all over and seeing the island. If you don’t like driving a lot there isn’t much activity in the immediate neighborhood. "

"Nicely furnished, cozy studio bungalow in a beautiful, secluded garden setting. Nicely equipped kitchenette, relaxing seating area, and comfortable bed. Walk-in, open shower is impressive. Easy check-in, parking right in front, good communication with host. Fell asleep to frogs croaking and woke up to birds chirping. Wonderful stay!"

"We had a great stay in Hilo. Mari was super helpful and called us to walk through the home’s specifics. Two families on the trip and the property accommodated us well with two levels, and beautiful ocean views from the deck and pool. We saw a dozen dolphins. The kitchen had many spices and condiments and all the cooking supplies. "
