"The property lies a couple of streets back from the water front. The drive to the house is via an eclectic variation of trailer homes. The campsite is really quite large. The house was lovely - very clean and spacious. There are three bedrooms, one downstairs powder room and a jack-and-Jill bathroom accessible from the master bedroom and the upstairs hallway. On our day of arrival, we were treated to 2 2-hour training shows, at 3pm and 8pm, from the nearby Naval base, where Hawkeye aircraft...

"I knew instantly that this was the place for our group of 10! Lots of space to accommodate that many people in one area. It is a bit of a drive into Cape Charles, but it is worth it! Highly recommend this house!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at this little slice of paradise! The views from the screened in porch or the back decks we’re just beautiful. It truly is a birders paradise with bald eagles, purple Martins, Barnes swallows, mockingbird, willets And an abundance of shorebirds. "The property was as described in the listing. It was peaceful, relaxing and secluded. We traveled with our three teenage kids and dogs. The kids absolutely loved the pool and our dogs were immediately relaxed. We were able to catch blue crabs off of the dock, no luck in fishing but that was probably more us then the area. Would absolutely return to the rental. It was an amazing break from a hectic life. Thank you for sharing your place with us."

"During our stay at The Pearl, we encountered our own boat issues, but the hosts were extremely helpful. Their communication was above and beyond!! The people on the island were also extremely helpful, and they went out of their way to help in any way they could. They all truly wanted us to have a great experience on Smith Island. "This is the third year we've stayed at this house and we still love it. The gentle bay is perfect for young kids and the house is great. We loved the new table that seats 10.
