This house is in an absolutely perfect location for Palisades skiing, a very short drive from the parking there (and shops and restaurants too).
The best thing about the house itself is the great, large common area, with essentially two living room areas and the kitchen all in one. Perfect for the whole travel group to hang out together. The kitchen is very modern and incredibly well provisioned for cooking.
The hot tub is also really nice and was already heated to a cozy 104, and felt nice in the middle of a snow storm.
The description of the house on VRBO isn’t totally accurate, though. It’s actually a 5 bedroom house, with a master, a kind of weird extra bedroom that is connected to the master via the master bathroom (with no other path to the rest of the house), two bunk rooms with a total of 8 beds, and another bedroom at the lower level which is shown in the photos, but which was locked and inaccessible to us (which was kind of misleading but not an issue for us since we didn’t need that space).
A few weird issues with electrical items, which in the end seemed like blown fuses (more difficult to fix given lack of proper labels on the fuse box). Overhead lights in the master bedroom, dishwasher and garbage disposal all were out until some fuse box fiddling. Power also went out for an evening, but that was a neighborhood issue due to a storm, so nothing to do with the house itself. (In connection with that, we discovered that calling the central Vacasa — the rental agency — customer service is totally useless, but they do have local reps who are more helpful so get in touch with them about issues instead.)
Sometime during our stay DirecTV also went out, but that was probably just because of the really bad storm (whether clouds blocking the satellite or snow on the dish).
As is probably obvious by now, there was a big storm during our stay which had some negative impacts. Overall though, especially considering those circumstances, the house was very nice.
