This property is mis represented by Expedia. It is run down. It looks like homeless are living or have been in the building. A black tarp sunk in and over the pool, the bar and restaurant is closed. There was spray painted graffiti in the elevators, no operational ice machine and smelly stained hallway carpets. Our room was remarkably clean and we stayed because of our late arrival. Do not recommend. 12/24/2023

This is a great place to stay! I stayed here on a whim when the roads became icey and foggy while I was Christmas shopping. Sure it’s not the most luxurious but it sure has a beautiful location - tucked into the trees makes you feel safe. And fancy enough to give off a classy vibe. There was a live band in the lounge that night which was fun and I got to sleep in without any problem because the bed was so comfortable!!! All in all a great stay at an affordable price!

First I have to say that the staff is amazing. Thanks Say to say that the restaurant/bar was closed permanently as of 12/22/2023. And the hotel is being closed permanently on the 27th. We had planed to have dinner and drinks there but had to go elsewhere. The property it beautiful. We told that the own sold the hotel and talk was it being torn down 😞 and apartments to go in its place. Our room worked for our need. Shower had low pressure.

Since they’re planning on closing the place you can tell staff just stopped caring some time ago. Thought it was pretty ridiculous to have to pay a “resort fee”, when your not able to utilize anything, pools closed, bar opens for a short bit, no hot tub, didn’t need to use laundry service, but still have to pay for the extras.

Property is quiet dated, but wonderful location in the woods close to the Capitol. Was our regular stop when visiting. Sadly, this stay the bar had closed early, heater was loud and toilet kept refilling.

This sad excuse for a hotel is the only property I've ever walked out on. The King sized beds were swayed and too soft, unable to sleep comfortably in (we checked 2 rooms), the toilet was dirty, unbrushed under the rim, the furniture and carpets ancient, the elevators in the north end broken, the ice machine broken. We left, and Expedia owes me recompense.

The sink was broken and water not draining. I did not have enough time in the morning to call for a repair before I needed to use it and check out.very inconvenient. Also no extra fleece blanket was given in winter. The TV did not work.

The front desk lady is really sweet. However this property gave me the ick. I stood in the room for the first 30 min trying to figure out a nice way to tell the sweet lady I couldn’t stay there. However I decided to suck it up since it was just one night. It reminded me of like a scary movie. It had the potential to be cute with a ton of remodeling.

The location is good, but the management could be better. I don't recommend it at all. It was the worst stay in my whole life. It is not like any hotel that I have been before. The customer service is terrible, the room dark and not very clean—crowded and noisy corridor. The hotel is used mainly for some seminar services, so sometimes the hall is crowded, and people talk late at night. I could not sleep until late and woke up again early in the morning. The hotel has multiple connected buildings, and there is no control on the inside area as you expect from a hotel. The corridor is like a public street. You would see anybody with their pet walking, talking and running. In the reservation process, they show the EV charge station for a NO-Tesla car. Still, I didn't believe it because they have only one for all these large hotels and the two days I was there, someone parked in the stall and did not move the car. When I went to the front desk to find a way to charge my car, they told me they didn't have any limitation for the time used in this parking, so they could not do anything about that. They could not find out whether the car belonged to the hotel guest because they didn't register the guest's car! So don't count on that—no regulation or responsible person will be found there.

I love the location of the hotel even though there were vagrants camped out on the entry road our whole stay. The hotel service not great. We didn’t have maid service for five days and the elevator was shut down for half of our stay after reporting a horrible smell in there. Need a coffee maker in the run as well. Available in the lobby but pretty good walk from our room.

Absolutely filthy, upon entering my room i immediately noticed that my bath towels were utterly disgusting. Appeared to have splotches of diarrhea stains. The entire hotel reaked of wet dog and there was dog fur throughout. Dirty used bandaids and trash in hallways. It was extremely unpleasant.

Upon opening the door of my room the smell of Clorox was so strong that it was unsafe to breathe the fumes, and was actually burning my nostrils and throat. I immediately opened the window, to which there was no screen. I had to hang out while I left the window open much longer than I wanted. When I did leave for several hours and then returned, the smell was still fairly strong, though no longer scary. I found the restaurant menu to be too expensive. I paid for the buffet in the morning and was really disappointed by the potatoes which had some crunchy parts in them that were so very hard I really couldn't even chew them. I also was disappointed that the "free" coffee in the lobby was not accompanied by any hot water for tea or alternative of decaf, and both carafes were empty when I went to get some. In short for the expense, this place was quite a disapointment.

This property needs some care, there is a musty smell inside the halls and room. Outside and around the building it needs a good pressure wash, it's very dirty. The room needs to be updated. Once the glass door opened it would not lock again had to call for help, the maintenance guy just brought some kind of window stopper so the door was secured for the night, this hotel was very nice and beautiful at one point, and really could be again if the new owner would invest in the property and invest some money around the property. Sad to see this property slip away

The staff was super friendly. The advertized hours for the restaurant weren't accurate. It said it would be open, but it never really was. We did have an amazing staff member come and open the bar up for us tho, and bought us a drink for having to wait. The staff was beyiond helpful and nice. The location is good, but not walkable to anything, you do have to drive around the lake to get to downtown. The room could have been cleaner, but it wasn't terrible, the bed was comfy and clean. The parking was perfect, and it was easy to get to our room.

We're from outside of U.S and use different currency credit card paid room. Now it's been several days haven't gotta my $50 holds back. They've done things not like other hotels. They charge holds in advance, be aware.
