Place was perfect for a long winter weekend in the mountains. Cabin is thoughtfully stocked with everything you will need. Well maintained and clean. Was the prefect destinations for our son's 9th birthday.Loved the Black Bear restaurant. Would defiantly stay there again, when we come back to Gore. Many thanks!!

Just as pictured. Place was great . Cozy, clean, great fireplace with lots of wood provided, plenty of hot water for showers, and comfortable mattresses. Walked up thru the snow to check out the waterfall behind the house. Owners had a few sleds on the porch which we used a mile or two down the road at a local park with a sledding hill Drove to Gore for 2 days of skiing about a 20-25 minute drive taking it slow. Owners super responsive. Definitely coming back.

Perfect, tidy, cozy, remote cabin - always the perfect escape for us city folks. We’ve been coming every year for the past six years now and can’t wait to return. Look forward to this trip every fall. Love the wood burning stove, the proximity to canoeing spots, the comfy beds and the view of the stars - the lack of light pollution means you can see the Milky Way if the moon’s not too bright!

We booked this last minute and I must say it exceeded our expectations! It was the perfect amount of cozy-ness we were looking for and very clean/well kept. The host even had a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. The wood stove was by far our favorite feature of the cottage. The location is great because it's secluded but easy enough to get to the small towns nearby! We will be back for sure!And even a cool little waterfall/stream behind the property that was fun to explore!

Beautiful secluded cabin with everything needed for some time away from the chaos that is everyday life. Views are wonderful, cabin is peaceful, and the waterfall was lovely. Host left good recommendations and tips for the area. Have stayed here twice now and definitely will again.

Fantastic stay! Very quiet area. The cottage was very clean. Property was great for hiking. Close to a lot of attractions. Screened in porch was a great place to watch wild life. Had a few conversations with owner before trip and he gave us tips on areas we might like. Very well cared for property.

We stayed 3 nights in mid-July as a base for hiking in the southern section of the High Peaks. Cottage was cozy and welcoming, very clean, plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers to gather and also be out of each others way. Screened-in porch was lovely. House stayed fairly cool despite the stretch of hot/humid weather we hit. Access to fairly extensive hiking trails right on property. Easy drive to places like North Creek, Schroon Lake and Keene Valley. Would stay again.
