Me encanta el concepto, los espacios, el lago junto a las habitaciones. La amabilidad súper, y el precio consideró es bueno acorde con el concepto Área de oportunidad un poco de mantenimiento a las habitaciones, televisor no funciona bien, las puertas y ventanas ya de mucho uso y sucias. Y me tocó q el area de alberca estaba sucia.

Hotel para vacaciones en grupo
Personal muy amable, limpieza y modernidad en la habitación deja mucho que desear. Y el aire acondionado sumamente ruidoso, en las noches era molesto. Area en general tranquila y segura.

Rancho viejo resort.
Urgente necesidad de renovar si no por completo mínimo quitar alfombras y cambiarlas por duela o piso. Cubierta de baño. Cambiar por granito. Más luz blanca. Agregarles mini refrigerador.

Descanso y naturaleza
Entre Brownsville y Harlingen. Habitaciones en pequeñas 'villas'. En un lugar muy bello y tranquilo, entre palmas y un pequeño río. Ideal para quienes quieren alejarse del bullicio de la ciudad.

muy amplio
El hotel está excelente, en realidad se trata de pequeñas villas esparcidas por el campo de golf lo cual da una sensación de mucha tranquilidad. Lo único malo es que para llegar a la alberca o al restaurante hay que tomar coche y no cuentan con servcio de transporte interno.

Caro para lo que es....
Falta mantenimiento en el exterior de las villas al igual que en el interior. Por reservar a través de ustedes con tarifa ecónomica, te dan las villas que están mas descuidadas, a pesar de que el hotel no estaba lleno. Salia el agua negra en la regadera...queremos suponer falta de mantenimiento de los calentadores....iguallmente la televisión estaba descompuesta. Podria estar mejor, con un poco mas de control de calidad...!!!!!

The Villa was clean overall. However, there's no washer and dryer in the Villa or onsite. The Villa also lacked a microwave and refrigerator. The carpet is rather dated (shag). The workout room is great. However, you do have to either drive or walk a short distance to the front desk to get to it. The breakfast was very poor and disappointing. Overall, the stay was okay and the location was nice but could be much better with amenities

It is very old and outdated. Smells bad. Breakfast worse than motel 6. Much worse … we also purchased the breakfast in a restaurant, also not good

Management alert!
Rancho Viejo is a gated community planned around a nice golf course. It features an outdoor driving range with cafe and a 4 star restaurant. We are locals and rent a guest suite regularly when we don't feel like driving to South Padre Island for a long weekend. The golf course is maintained nicely and we enjoy going to the community pool which features a belly-up bar and a hot tub and a large "waterfall" feature. We've swam in the Rancho Viejo pool many times and have watched the area deteriorate steadily. At present, there are large patches of black mold under the "waterfall" feature which is highly disturbing. As more community families pour into the pool we have wactched large pool parties with dozens of children consume pizza and drinks while in the actual pool area and are unattended by parents. Our last visit, I was looking forward to just relaxing by the pool, unfortunately every recliner and chair was filthy with food remains and bird poo. I had a few napkins in my purse and tried cleaning my chair, but the napkin turned black before I was half way thru the process. Again, this area has become a free for all with unattended children with no care for the actual facility. I truly hope the management does something about the black mold in the pool and filthy pool chairs as we will probably not return as guests.

The scenery is beautiful, they have a bar, restaurant, and small convenience store on the property. But you can’t beat relaxing outside by the water and so much to do, golf, fishing, biking, etc… so much to do.

The room was clean and comfortable, there is an restaurant and bar on the property. Overall stay was excellent, I’d definitely come back.

Run down and poorly maintained hotel
This hotel is poorly maintained. The carpets were full of dark spots, walls with humidity stains and bathroom trims with cracks and faucets full of stains. They only a have three small park spaces per unit so if you are driving an oversized vehicle good luck! I am now questioning the rating process from Hotels.com because according to ratings this is rated “very good” with 8.4 and that is not true! I will give him “fair” at the best.

Check in was easy. The pool was really nice and beautiful. Our condo was fine, but the bathroom fixtures were a bit out dated. And, I would really appreciated some bottled water in the room! It’s hot!

Excellent resort and awesome pool scene
The resort is a lovely oasis. The property is a bit dated but it is very well maintained. The scenery is gorgeous, staff is on top of everything. Very safe and clean. Good breakfast buffet. Amazing pool vibe!

A good alternative to traditional hotels. The property is green, it has water frontage, and it invites walking/strolling. Rooms though are tired and need refreshing. (Why shag carpet in humid South Texas? Why no fridge in the room? Why not more comfortable chairs in the room?)

Outdated accommodations
The suite was very outdated. Couch was overly worn and sinking in the middle. Front door was filthy. It felt like walking in to your aunt & uncles house back in the early 80’s. Grounds were kept well around the golf course and restaurant.

The only place in America to close their check-in at 12am. They took my money with no phone call and I was left staying in a motel.

Great Night's Stay
The Resort is a great place to stay in the valley and this villa was the best. Beautiful view of golf course, pond and tons of white pelicans. The villa was well appointed and very comfortable.

Old condition. Dirty shag carpet with plenty of stains. Dirty cups in the room and plenty of Cobb Webs and critters. Front Hotel staff are fantastic!!!!
