The check in was easy and kitchen beautiful. It had meager silverware and glasses, no where near the number of people the house is designed for. This was remedied by sending a message to Mike.

Potential is there but very poor execution, misleading photos, can’t recommend

Cons-•The upstairs AC is out. There are window units in each room & that did the job but was noisy & made sleeping difficult.•6 bug sitings inside, 1 in a bed.•By end of 3rd day the pool was turning green.•The tile grout is yucky. The kitchen floor didn’t appear to be well swept when we arrived. Every rug was stained. One bathroom door doesn’t shut. No batteries in remote, light bulbs out. Olive in disposal, used sponge at sink. Dirty windows.•Looks like it was furnished from garage sales. Master bedroom has outdoor furniture in the sitting area. It’s just low quality, poor interior design.•Shingles on the garage roof are falling off. •In general the yard is very poorly attended to. Weeds as tall as the roof mascarading as landscaping. Poison ivy growing onto sidewalk. The area that is pictured with the grill & outdoor fireplace is so messy/overgriwn it’s not useable & when using the sidewalk to the restroom you have to push a bush out of the way to walk around it. Spider webs in major walking area in back yard, poor up keep of deck. Beer can, fake nails in backyard.•4 forks 1 spoon 1 knife & poor quality & variety of cooking essentials.ProsPool was in great condition. Easy pond(not a lake) access & kids caught fish everyday. Kitchen & major appliances are nice, new condition & the floor to ceiling windows were clean. Washer & dryer work well & are easy to use. The home has great bones & strong potential but appears owners bit off more than they could chew.

We were very excited to stay at this listing. It sounded great based on the description and reviews. It is in a convenient location. We loved OKC. There were multiple problems with the property, however. 1. We traveled 7 hours to get to the property and didn’t receive check-in instructions until an hour before we arrived. 2. The house is huge! Beautiful rooms, plenty of space for a number of people but it looks abandoned from the front. Tall weeds growing everywhere, trees/shrubs overgrown and blocking path, trash from previous renters was laying around (not in) trash cans, mailbox was broken. In the backyard, there’s a bbq grill, but lots of poison ivy you have to step through to access it. 3. There was no kayak as promised. 4. There wasn’t enough silverware for our family. We ended up buying some. 5. One of our family members found a joint in one of the pool chairs. 6. The pool was cloudy and remained cloudy our whole stay. One of our kids cut her nose on the side of the pool after swimming into it. Pool guy came our first night there but just to see if we wanted him to turn on the hot tub. (It was 90 degrees so we declined.) After contacting the property manager about the pool, another guy showed up 2 days later. He said he added chemicals but the pool never cleared. 7. Ceiling fan over bunk beds. Dumb! Our toddler grandson got a black eye because of it!8. Oven broken. Called property manager, said he’d send handyman over. Never showed.

Needs some TLC

Older home, some updates: newer kitchen (very nice) and 2 of the 3 bathrooms. 3rd bathroom old (rough shape) no hot water in there or in kitchen. Main requirement for us to book a vacation home: swimming pool. We booked 5 days (3 full days)-1st full day pool had algae, by day 2 very cloudy. Contacted host, he sent someone to maintain it, they put lots of chemicals in, so we lost that full day of swimming. Still cloudy but much better day 3… another person came and added more chemicals. We didn’t use the pool very much because of its condition. When pool is part of the property, it needs to be checked before each guest checks in to make sure it’s in good condition for them. We were very disappointed that the pool was not in good condition for our stay. Back deck pretty rough, some boards replaced, but others are rotted and sinking in. Some furniture pretty stained and old. Landscaping needs lots of TLC. Front steps to house are brick and missing a lot of the mortar. Needs a deep clean… cob webs, kitchen drawer with something sticky spilled in it, some sticky and dirty spots on floors here and there. Pool was the main reason we booked this house - pool not being in good condition to swim in, is the main reason we won’t book there again.

The pool, hot tub and kitchen/dining room area were very nice. Was a little disappointed that the fishing poles were not working, no kayak. There was no hot water in the bathroom upstairs. Icemaker in fridge was broken. Outside area was not the cleanest. Light/fan/tv remote in downstairs bedroom did not work. The house was located in a great area.

Expect the unexpected

We didn't get the check-in instruction by 1 1/2 hours late and it was very stressful due to unable to contact the hosting manager. We thought it was a scam. We requested the heated pool and whirlpool spa for 3 days and it was not heat at all. I wished that we can get a refund for that. Some part of the house was updated with the cheap material and old kitchen pots and pans. The back yard view was nice and you can see the neighbor across.

Ideal for a group

For our group of 10 adult girl friends/family, this was a great house. We especially loved gathering in the nice kitchen and around the island, and in the dining room, which seated us all. Best, though, was the heated pool, which was almost ethereal with steam rising off it, overlooking waterbirds on the lake, in the cool October morning. The master bedroom bed and futons were comfortable and the double shower was really nice. We had a few minor quibbles, but I would stay here again if we get a chance. The host was quick to respond to any questions and very gracious. Thank you!

Great stay for families!

Three families all with small kids. We loved the outside amenities and having the pool to hop in first thing in the morning. The pool gets enough morning sun to keep you warm. We did ask for the pool heater to be on and found the water was too warm for us, host was quick in responses, let us know how to shut off the heat. Loved having TV in all the common spaces - we have kids and some don’t want to swim sun up to sun down.
