The only drawback of this hotel is its location since it's a bit isolated and the nearby beach is not good for swimming, but it's easy to call an Uber to get anywhere you want to go on the island."

The staff were fantastic, super friendly and helpful they all made us feel right at home and like we could ask anything anytime. "I had a lovely stay in Maxwell del Mar. My room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and it was very close to a lovely beach. Bus stops are right outside the hotel and it was a very good option for a solo traveler. "

I did not gave 5 stars because my room had a leak from the ceiling and they did not bother to move me to another room. Also, the decoration and the furniture inside my room were pretty old style."

Reconciling the cost of taxes on the Expedia application and the hotel/apartments would make BLR Villas Dover Beach a 10--location, cleanliness, and price. "Nice for a long stay as rooms fully equipped with kitchenette and fantastic view of the ocean. Not very modern but good location. Generally friendly staff. Safety deposit box only available at reception and have to sign in each time you access it. Restaurant not the best but adequate. Staff generally helpful."
