Cosy 4 Bunk Cabin, Mountain Views, Pet Friendly.

  • Located opposite the Carrot Park and 100m to Johnnys Famous Eclairs, the Cabin is one of six belonging to the Ruapehu Holiday Park. The cabins are heated and have access to shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Perfectly suited for a single, couple or small family with a set of double size bunks and a set of single bunks .

    There is a small kitchenette with a fridge and crockery also a toaster and kettle .

    The cabin is pet friendly with certain rules, please contact us. There is plenty of space and grass areas with views of Mt Ruapehu.

    We also have covered parking.

    Ohakune is located on the border of the Tongariro National World Heritage Park and has shuttle access to the famous Tongariro Crossing. It is the closest town to Turoa Ski Resort only a short drive up the mountain road.

    There are walking and mountain bike tracks starting from in town and local shops and restaurants a short walk away. Indoor climbing, cafes and mountain bike hire available in town all year.

Fun in the snow

Perfect, our whanau included our 11 month old puppy Moana too so the accomodation and grounds were a welcome bonus. Definitely stay here again.

Convenient, quiet and friendly stay

A great stay and a very convenient location close to town and the parks within easy walking distance. We really appreciated the ‘pet-friendly’ vibe and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We recommend a stay here.

Nice clean quite campground, comfy heated cabins with a relaxing vibe, and being dog friendly was a definite plus for us. I would recommended to all and will definitely stay again. Cheers

Little ski trip with the boys

Awesome location, so close to Turoa mountain, we all very much enjoyed. Even being sick, Nick came out and greeted us with a smile. Will definitely be staying there again when the time comes :))

2023 stay

All the basic amenities. Really friendly host lovely large grass areas. It was like camping in cabins was nice to have a technology free break and the community kitchen suits our needs perfectly

Ohakune

The man that ran the place was very kind and straight to the point heaps of utilities in the kitchen so you wouldn’t have to bring a whole pan or potato masher, the kitchen and toilet are shared but it was still great. The heater was warm and me and my friends had a great time

Great location good budget value

This is very basic, but perfectly adequate and comfortable for those on a budget. The cabin is tiny, so you’ll need to eat out and make use of the abundant, close by cafes bars and restaurants. You need your own bedding and towel, but the location is great and the township easy walking distance.

Flexible host

Very accommodating and flexible host. Very clean and tidy cabin. Handy to town and the giant carrot! Undercover parking.

Was typical camping ground cabin. It was great to be able to book it for one night because that was all I wanted. There were no inconsistencies with how it was advertised and what it was. The manager was very pleasant and helpful.

Another visit to Ohakune. Another run on the Mountain. The cabin provided by Nick is clean, functional and no-fuss. Just what I needed. Everything was clean and worked well.
