Great stay, amazing scenery
Was here for two nights. Yurt was an amazing little cottage, great farm views and comfy bed. Owner Louise was very friendly. Partner particularly liked the neighbours little goats.

Lovely place for short break
We had a lovely stay here - very clean, beds were super comfy (best two nights sleep we’ve had in ages), kids had fun roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and watching the sunset from the bath! Beautiful views and handy to Bathurst (15 mins) for provisions, or the O Connell Hotel for dinner (5 mins). Thanks, we had a great weekend!

Absolutely Fabulous
Enjoyed a quiet and serene stay here at the yurt. Views were amazing and the property allowed us both to unwind for a weekend. Yurt has everything you need and we will definitely be back.

Peacful stay
We loved the quiet and peace during our three night stay. The property is beautiful, rolling meadows all around us with grazing sheep and cows. Nev and Louise are wonderful hosts and we were treated to fresh eggs. I had a beautiful time decompressing and it proved to be the holiday we really needed. The bonus, a kangaroo, joey in pouch, coming to visit us one of the mornings. My kids loved every moment of it.

Absolutely beautiful stay
Just as advertised, absolutely beautiful expansive views. Our small family had an amazing time at the Yurt. Very neat and clean with all essentials provided. The kids loved the bathtub which overlooked the beautiful fields. Being on top of a hill, we could see far and wide into the distance and enjoyed amazing views of both sunrises and sunsets. Louise was so helpful and promptly replied to all my enquiries. Definitely will be coming back!

Relaxing Time
The Yurt was lovely had everything we needed. The views were spectacular especially at sunset. Lovely hosts and we were given a dozen fresh eggs straight from the farm! Highly recommend staying there. We will be back.

A Delight!
We had the loveliest stay in the yurt in O'Connell. The Yurt was spacious and was thoughtfully styled, and just magical. The views from the deck were gorgeous, and I couldn't have asked for a better location to go see Mayfield Gardens, and other sights around Oberon.

Perfect spot for a short rural break
Great location for a Mayfield Gardens visit and Bathurst region explore. Super comfy beds and rooms - all you need for a long weekend break. Beautiful 180 degree vistas from the living spaces. Sitting on the deck was magical! Thank you for checking in on us Louise - look forward to staying in future. Visit amazing Aaron the barista at Fish River Roasters in Bathurst - open mornings only.

Beautiful countryside views
We felt at home from the moment we walked in to the beautiful yurt. Comfortable beds, nice clean bathroom and a kitchenette with everything you need. The views from the yurt are peaceful and beautiful - hilly pastures with sheep, cows and many colourful birds. It was a wonderful few days and we’d love to come back one day.

Beautiful regional getaway
The yurt is in a stunning and convenient location, and is well kept. The owners checked in on us daily and helped set the fire, which was beautiful on a cold and clear night. Only downsides were internet is patchy and kitchen supplies are basic. Bring what you need if you intend to stay in for meals to make the most of your getaway.

A lovely peaceful and relaxing short stay to conclude our annual roadtrip. Superb panoramic view from indoors and on the deck. Lovely decor. Roomy apartment. Superior quality bedding and linen. Well appointed kitchen. We experienced some wild weather but were safe and sound inside The Yurt. Text message from host with arrival details was excellent. Meeting host in person later in the day was very welcoming. We would love to come again.

Local views
The Yurt was very comfortable and sitting out looking at the view was delightful. Loved the country feel with chickens pecking in the shady garden and sheep grazing in the paddock. Hosts very responsive to a couple of requests. The Yurt was perfect for our needs and close by for a family wedding.

Beautiful surrounds enjoyed from the comfort of a place that felt like home.
We had a delightful experience. The Yurt is lovely, comfortable, clean and feels like home. It looks out upon beautiful views and this gave us a lovely peaceful feeling. Louise was a lovely, kind host and we would love to stay at her place again!

Lovely country getaway
3 gilfriends stayed here for 2 nights in Dec. Loved our stay at The Yurt. Yurt was spacious for 3 of us, clean and comfortable, beautiful country views from big windows and deck. Nice bathroom with rainwater shower. Comfortable beds. Had a firepit near Yurt which was lovely to sit beside at night. Liked watching the birdlife that came into the garden. Louise the host was lovely. We visited Mansfield gardens which is 20min drive away, well worth the visit. Perfect location for a country getaway

Perfect little getaway
Just what the doctor ordered. A great little place to switch off and relax for a couple of days. Quiet surroundings. I liked that I was able to switch off from devices. It had all I needed. It was not the greatest weather, but Louise was kind enough to check in on me to make sure I was okay and warm enough. 10 out of 10

Lovely Country Getaway
A quaint yurt in a tranquil scenic location close to Bathurst & Mayfield Gardens. It was styled with an eclectic mix of furnishings & decor. A bath with paddock views was so peaceful & relaxing. The large front deck was perfect for sipping on a coffee while enjoying the fresh crisp air. The fire pit created a pleasant winter atmosphere during the cold spring evenings. The yurt included everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Lovely peaceful, simple accommodation with lovely owners
This property is a yurt in the middle of the countryside with sweeping district views. It is filled with natural light, is just 15-20 minutes' drive to Bathurst and excellent value for the cost. You come here to get away from the big city hussle. Some things just to be aware of in coming here. These are not criticisms, just things you need to know to manage your expectations: * 1 double bed and two single beds * the wifi is not viable (even if porting off your phone) * the kitchen is a kitchenette - only the most basic facilities, and with a fairly small fridge * if you want to use the firepit, check with the owners that there is plenty of kindling as well as large logs for burning. If you come knowing what is here, and are happy with a country retreat far from the big smoke, then you will absolutely love this place. And Louise and Nev are the friendliest of hosts. We really enjoyed out stay!

Winter break holiday
We enjoyed every moment in the Yurt. Overlooking a superb country view from a hill top with farm animals around. It was lovely to sit by the fire pit and had some BBQ marshmallow. The little house was designed and taken care with lots of love. 20 minutes drive to Bathurst and an hour drive to Orange. Although we didn't see any snow during the 5 days stay, we enjoyed the very cold countryside fresh air.

Great place for a winter trip
It is nicely decorated little cottage. A great place to encounter animals and spend the winter night. We’ve seen rabbits hopping around in the field. sheep and chicken close by and kangaroo fighting in a distance. We enjoyed great view from the house and we loved the warm camp fire at night. It was a great stay for kids as well as adults.
