The reason our parking is 1.5 blocks away is because our historic building pre-dates vehicles. When initially constructed as the town's first hardware store, patrons visited on horseback! We now lease parking from the closest parking garage and include an assigned space for each room to guarantee our guests a safe and convenient place to park. It may require a short walk, but we feel it's a nice amenity to our guests as the neighboring hotels and resorts charge an average of 44/night for mandatory valet.Our apologies that you experienced noise during your stay. Please know that you can always reach out to our team via phone, text or email if a neighbor is causing a disturbance. As a small business owned and operated by Oceanside locals, it is our goal to ensure that each and every guest has an enjoyable time at The Brick. We apologize that this was not the case with your visit. As opposed to outfitting the rooms with coffee stations, we instead leave a voucher for a complimentary beverage at our on-site coffee concept, Succulent Coffee. The shop is a one-man operation and the owner both serves the coffee and creates all the beautiful succulent arrangements on display and for purchase. We apologize that the concept was closed during your stay. Succulent Coffee is open every weekend, but the owner of the coffee cart had an unforeseen issue and that was the one and only Saturday he was closed unfortunately. We left a free coffee ticket for two for the bakery (Petite Madeline) across the street in your room, but we should have clarified by text as well. In addition to our on-site concept, there are several other coffee shops within walking distance, leaving no shortage of options. We encourage guests to go out and about to explore the neighborhood and all it has to offer. Our rooftop bar operates until 10P on weekdays and 12M on Friday and Saturday nights. The room you booked is slightly under the DJ booth and they had a DJ competition the night of your stay. This was much more rowdy than we were anticipating, so I'm very sorry for the interruption. I'm constantly working with the rooftop bar (our tenant) to be more respectful of our guests.Being that the building is historic (built in 1888), it offers much more charm and character than a standard hotel, though the brick walls may allow a bit more sound to travel through than modern day, big box hotels that pour concrete between walls/floors. We are constantly looking for ways to improve upon our beautiful little boutique hotel and will take your feedback into consideration. We have done substantial soundproofing between the rooms to mitigate noise whenever possible.While we may be a bit different than the big box hotels, when you stay at the Brick, you are guaranteed a more authentic experience of Oceanside with the local charm of staying in a building as old as the City itself.

Our rooms are cleaned between each and every guest by a professional cleaning staff. We send out our linens to be professionally laundered in high heat machines at a local plant. While these machines ensure cleanliness to a more elevated level than in-house machines, their higher heat settings sometimes cause stains to set in. At any rate, the cleaning team should catch these stains and remove these items from the rotation. We apologize if this or any other item was missed. We will be sure to pass your feedback along to our housekeeping staff as we take our cleanliness very seriously.
