Gorgeous view but very hot

First, it's on the ocean but there is literally no beach in front of the house. It's misleading when it says the beach is 21 steps away, when it's only low tide enough at 6 am to access the beach. The floors are filthy. I did not hear back from the property manager prior to check in about parking or other amenities. The access code would not work until exactly 4 PM even though the house was available and the property manager did not answer when called. It says there is A/C, but they are tiny wall units that do not work very well, so the house was extremely hot. It would have been nice to have those turned on before we got there. Also, not all of the windows worked to open them, so it was really hard to get any airflow.

BEWARE: As of Nov 6, 23 the website makes no mention of collapsed patio & blocked beach access

The photos shown are very inaccurate. ASK FOR A CURRENT PHOTO OF THE PATIOS before renting!! Of most concern regarding the false advertising was the severe damage to the bottom patio where about half the patio is now collapsed and fenced off causing the owners to additionally block off all access to the rocks and beach. NO MENTION OF THIS WAS ON THEIR WEBSITE and the photos show a large lovely patio!! Based on the photos, we planned to spend most of our time on that big beautiful lower patio; instead we got half a patio with rusting furniture. We would have never chosen this property if we had known the truth. It says it has A/C but does not add that this means small room units in each room that are on a TIMER with a 4 hr max. In hot weather--which we had--you have a choice of waking up sweating or setting your alarm to get up every 4 hours. Lights & ceiling fans also on timers. The outdoor patios had been winterized with far fewer cushions/umbrellas/furniture than were shown in photos. A text requesting cushions was answered, but they never brought any. The hotel style lock on the lower level is missing 1/2 the lock. Electrical outlets in the master bdrm & bthrm worked at times & not at others, 2 toilets leaked. The ceiling fan downstairs was layered in dust causing allergy problems & the downstairs had a musty smell that hadn't left by the end of our visit. SUMMARY: GET CURRENT PHOTOS BEFORE RENTING. House with great view needs loving attention.

We loved out stay. It had ample room for our large group. The location was excellent. We walked to local shops for breakfast and dinner. There was grocery shopping close as well. The ocean view is amazing. The public beaches are only a minute or two away.

Great views & great for large families

Incredible views from all 3 decks. 2 separate living and kitchen areas which was great with our college and adult age children as we all had our own spaces . My only complaint would be a few things need updating - the master bedroom drapes don’t close all the way which means sun shining in at 6 am. And there is only one umbrella that is not very sturdy so very little shade on the decks. This should be an Easy fix but I noticed another people commented on it and it is still not resolved.

Very nice home. Property was overall in good conditions and property management was great.

Floors were clean but needed a good mop. Some towels/sheets need to be updated. Overall a nice property to stay in and having two kitchens and multiple decks and laundry rooms was excellent for a big group.

Tons of space. Perfect view

Family of 16 stayed two nights. The space, the views an supplies were all great. Kids had a great time finding little shells in the Sand in low tide. Very exclusive with no one between you and the ocean. Beds were all very comfortable Had a minor heating issue with one of the hot tubs but maintained e came right away to fix it. Forgot to mention the fridge freezer on main level did not work but downstairs fridge was fine. Would recommend and stay here again, hopefully longer

October 2021 Stay

The location is great with stunning beachfront view. We greatly appreciated the fast service from the staff when we called with some issues. This property would be a great vacation rental if management can fix the following issues: -Need to provide clean and newer towels - the white towels provided to my family were so worn out and looked disgusting. They should be discarded - The kitchen lower cabinet door needs to be fixed - Need more working electrical outlets - The jets in the jacuzzi are not working - Need to have more umbrellas to provide shade on all three levels. There is no umbrella on the roof top deck and we cannot enjoy it without some shades. There should be a BBQ grill on the roof top deck. The umbrella on the street level is so flimsy. - The curtains in the bedrooms are so difficult to open and close Need to fully equip the kitchen - can opener is not working, need to have more cookwares, need a toaster oven, sharp knives, better cutting boards, some basic kitchen supplies

This residence was clean well equipped with all you could possibly need ,and so great for our large family needing separate places to sleep but all together on main floor or any of the 3 balcony’s!! No issues at all... like many other reviews, we will be back each year we can!

On the water

Beautiful views directly on the water. There are stairs to the sand, but it is only accessible during low tide. Gentle surf, good for swimming and surfing. Neighborhood is a little rough, but plenty of mid range restaurants. Shopping is a bit better a short drive south in Carlsbad. We truly enjoyed ourselves, thank you to the staff and mgmt co.

Location is priceless

House was exactly as described- communicating was easy- and we had no complaints! Beachfront access is unparalleled. Neighborhood is cute and quiet. A+++ rental!

We rented this house in the summer of 2019 and there have been changes to the bottom unit that we were not expecting. Bottom unit is one bedroom and bathroom with fold out sofas and kitchen but no stove. There is another bedroom(s?) under construction in that unit and maybe a bathroom? Hope it's complete by end of July when we return with more people. Would be nice to have fire pit on bottom floor patio. Top two units are great. Master bedroom/bath and small bedroom on main floor with guest bathroom, full kitchen, dining area, living room (that you see in this picture), and BBQ. Upper floor has two bedrooms and one of the rooms has two queen beds. Each have their own bathroom. Upper deck is amazing with jacuzzi. Unit is clean and management company was very responsive with our needs. Tip - Take a towel inventory when you get there and request more towels right away. Location is perfect and there is a market down the street. Can walk to beach and many restaurants, etc. Garage is plenty big enough for two vehicles and one parked in front of garage. Will stay here again.

OLD, RUSTY, but views were amazing

This was a great trip to Oceanside with family, But this house needs lots of work, Smoke alarm was covered with rust, their is no downstairs oven as advertised. Don’t rent this beachfront house just keep on looking.

Amazing Oceanfront Property

Our family enjoyed this mini getaway this weekend! This property had everything we needed to be comfortable, but the best part was the access to the ocean view and sleeping to the sound of the waves crashing. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to get away for relaxation!

Beautiful Location

The property was great. However, the property management company disappointed me. I ask them questions twice prior to our arrival and never got any response!! My husband and I were celebrating a milestone anniversary. The house was nice, could use some TLC. However, the jacuzzi on 3rd floor was the BEST!

Reviewer Comments: This year was the 2nd time we had come to the unit but we were disappointed about many items that remained unfixed or were newly not in working condition which include: oven in the lower unit which existed before2. Many large broken tiles on lower level patio3. Black dust that continued to fall from the vent in the lower level bathroom off the kitchen. Covered our toothbrushes, etc.4. Broken kitchen trash can in lower unit5. Fruit fly infestation in the lower unit master bedroom 6. Broken glass door on upper level fireplace7. Rust stains on ceiling in bikini room in lower level8. Perpetual smell of sewage in lower level9. Debris and small trash left on astro turf of lower level deckAside from the above the place is great and the location is unbeatable. The beds were probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home. Attention to the above items which really do need to be addressed would be much appreciated as we really do look forward to future stays! Many thanks in advance for a wonderful vacation!

Covid escape

The location of the property was fantastic but the beach access was very difficult, practically made it impossible to go to the beach so should be labeled as such. Furthermore, although the response of the property management was great, there were several things wrong with the property, some of which were: TV password not entered and we were not informed of it so for all but the last day could barely watch the tv which was important due to the election, coffee table was just balanced due to one leg being broken so it collapsed when we tried to move it closer to the sofa, dishwasher needs to be replaced impossible to move the bottom rack, gas stove top either didn't turn on (one knob fell off) or was so low couldn't use, and there were several other items that either needed fixing or replacement. Basically nice location but property needs a lot of work to bring up to standards of rental price.
