The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for meals. The views were amazing and the toddlers loved the beach backyard but we had to contain them to a small area as it had with beer cans stuffed behind rocks, bottle caps, broken glass & cigarette butts. I don't know how you enjoy the fire pit with only lounge chairs to sit on and some of those were broken. When we rented this home it stated it was also beach front there is only the man made beach backyard. There was also an ant problem throughout the house.
Beautiful views but this is the beach back yard with only rocks below. Not beachfront

I will say that I was not happy about the air conditioning. We were all dying. We had every fan on and it still did not cool the place off so unless you change it where we can control the temperature I probably would never stay here again.

Great house with plenty of space for our whole group. Small issue where the garage wouldn’t close so just had do so manually but other than that. Perfect.

Beach paradise!

All of our kids and 9 grandkids came together from as far away as Washington for 3 days of adventure, chaos, and fun! Not only were the days beautiful and the waves great, we were able to access the beach from the backyard during the 4 hours of lower tides. That was a game changer to be able to go to the beach straight from the house. Kevin welcomed us at the house and gave us a showing of house everything worked. We will definitely do a repeat for next year!!!!

Disappointed

I write to address a series of issues encountered during our recent family reunion at your Oceanside property. Our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I believe it's important you're aware of these shortcomings. 1. **Air Condition**: It is a basic expectation that they should be operational. We were left inconvenienced multiple times during our stay. 2. **Oven Replacement**: A major appliance failing and requiring replacement during our stay is unacceptable and disrupted our planned meals. 3. **Lack of Beach Access**: This was the most distressing oversight. We specifically selected Oceanside for the beach experience, with family members flying in specifically for this. The omission of this critical detail in the listing caused considerable disappointment, especially for our elder family members who were particularly looking forward to it. Your photo of the property shows a sandy beach behind the house and that was not the case. Given these significant issues and considering the premium we paid: a) I urged them you to immediately update the listing to reflect the true state of the property and its amenities, ensuring future renters are adequately informed. b) We believe a 50% refund is both fair and necessary, reflecting the disparity between our expectations and reality. THEY DECLINED TO OFFER ANY REFUND WHATSOEVER.

Surprise 70th birthday party - 13 guests

The property was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed watching the dolphins frolic and bonfires with s’mores. We wished we had better ability to open windows on the 2nd and 3rd floor as well as the sliding glass doors on the ground level so we could get better ventilation/breeze and ability to hear the surf! The oven would not heat above 185 degrees. We mostly bbq’d and used the cooktop. Nice kitchen space with more than adequate fridge/freezer space between the kitchen and garage. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We had a great trip playing outdoor games, surfing and enjoying bonfires. Awesome spot that provides enough bedrooms for all to sleep comfortably.

Beach reunion

Great property, great views, plenty of space and very comfortable for a large group. Air conditioning was fine in the bedrooms but the main living space got very warm on sunny days as the windows didn't open. The beach is not as nice as in the pictures and is inaccessible for much of the day as the tide comes all the way into the rocks. Outdoor area is great and kids had fun in the ocean once the tide went out.

Easy to book, check in and out. This home was more than we expected, 3 story home with oceanfront views and a private beach. Large beautiful kitchen fully st ones with everything you could ever need. Counting the days until we return.

There were 2 rooms that had broken windows meaning a huge gap to let in the cold air .. we were staying at this property when it was windy and cool! We were also planning on having our children play with the fosball game that was pictured in the house on the website but when we arrived there was nothing! So needless to say the kids (& parents) were all disappointed

Misrepresentation of property

On arrival the house was not ready. We waited 2 hours for remodeling crew and cleaners to leave. When we able to enter, to our horror, we discovered that the key feature of the home, the beautiful master bedroom and en-suite with a private sunroom, had been remodeled into FOUR small bedrooms, NONE of which had an en-suite bathroom. The new small bedrooms were without nightstands and closets. Instead they were equipped with a basic clothes rack! Bizarrely, the walls between some of these bedrooms were just the original external windows, compromising both privacy and comfort. The ONLY indication we were given that there had been a remodel was a call the day before we arrived, saying that the sunroom had been turned into an extra bedroom, and “apart from that, everything is exactly the same”. The remodel was unfinished, floors were liberally splattered with paint, door handles were missing, one bathroom had exposed drywall as it had not been tiled, some smoke detectors still had construction tape in place, rendering them useless. The customer service throughout our visit was lacking. We raised concerns about some electrical and lighting issues in the house, but our calls were not returned. We were also promised a commercial settlement for the misrepresentation of the property. VRBO advised us that the property should have been removed from the listing during the remodeling, then re-listed with the new specifications. VRBO opened a complaint against the property management company, Beachfront Only, and is now representing us in the matter as our calls requesting compensation to Beachfront Only were not returned. In summary, the Oceanside location is very pleasant, but the remodel had clearly created a number of issues which need to be investigated and addressed prior to any subsequent guests, these include a number of safety issues which we will report directly to VRBO. Our entire party was very disappointed that Beachfront Only had misrepresented this property and therefore mismanaged our expectations.
