Large double bedroom villa with ample amount of space for families. Pool and hot tub are a hit!! Lock up garage and villa access was great!! Would stay here again!

This was a great find close to the water! A well kept up property with spacious apartments. Great walking distance to the pier and restaurants. Has a laid back feel, management was friendly and welcoming. Beautiful landscaping.

This is an excellent 3 star property for many reasons: the unit is full size with working kitchen/full size appliances/all utensils/lots of counter space, simple process to order supplies, covered secure parking, we could see the beach from our private large balcany, check in was easy and Vivienne is a pleasure! It's about a 15 min walk to the pier and is on higher ground. Many properties situated along The Strand had flooded garages after bad weather. The only con for us was the on site washing machines are no longer coin, but require an app downloaded.

Old apartment complex turned into a hotel. Was well-taken care of and clean. The unit was big with plenty of room for guests; also had a balcony. Lots of private gated parking underneath the units. Like a minute's walk to the ocean. Only issues was the front desk was always late or just not there. Was hard to get in touch with them prior to arrival, as we were going to arrive after hours and needed to find out how to get in. Luckily, after about a dozen calls someone finally picked up and explained the after hours process to me. Other than that, the stay was great and would stay again!

Great quiet location nearly by the beach. Parking is included and secured by gate from evening hours. The unit is spacious apartment style layout with kitchen. All that you possibly need is included. I highly recommend it and would stay there again!

Way better than expected
We were more than pleased with the accommodations at the Villas. Staff was friendly and informative. Room was clean with a view of the ocean off the patio. Great dining and the beach are all within a short walk. Parking garage is secured at night by a roll-up steel door, and access to the facility is by key card only. Would stay here again without hesitation.

My overall experience was nothing shy of amazing. Checking in was easy, the unit was spacious bigger then expected. The balcony was such a bonus. Weather was chilly but i would definitely be back.

It was exactly what we were looking for and had a lovely stay. Located in a great spot price was good and staff friendly . However we were in room 17 and did not expect the trains. The trains are actually quite it was the crossing signal that we were surprised by.

A beautiful place to stay
Such a wonderful place to stay. The villa was very neat, clean, and very spacious, and the staff was very friendly. We really loved being a block from the beach. There are trains that run continually through the day and night, so you might want to have some earplugs at bedtime. I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location and walking distance to the pier. front desk gave a small booklet of all the information and recommendations you need. Everything you can ask for! Only negative they don’t have air conditioning.

These are timeshare condos. I was not aware of that at time of booking. The condo was super clean! No dust dirt anywhere inside! Very impressive! Koudos to the housekeeping crew! We arrived after hours so nobody was there for check in.. I was given codes and keys and instructions and a map.. The hot tub was drained and needed repair. The grounds are smaller and tighter than photos lead you to believe but are still lovely. The front desk lady wasnt very friendly nor informative. She offered no information as to places to eat since there is no restaurant on premises. All she said about breakfast was oh i already put it away, sorry... Overall it was A nice place, close to beach, and a great price!

This is not a hotel, it is a run down timeshare. Front desk clerk often not there during business hours, garage door opener opened wrong garage, no signage to navigate the maze of run down units. It's right up against a VERY busy train rail that runs all night. This in the running for the worst stay I've ever had anywhere, and I suspect some of these other reviews are fake.

Not the best choice perhaps
Here's the thing about this hotel that has me rate it as I did - on the last night there after feeling worse each day I noticed there were little plastic clip on things in all the pillows. I do not know what they were, but some photos are below. My concern is that they were insecticide/anti bedbug or other devices. Also, upon arrival requested two extra blankets since there is no heat in the hotel and it was cold and the young man brought them in a bunch looking like they'd been pulled off the bed next door.

Great Villa in a great location
Overall, the stay was very comfortable and made me wish we had booked a longer stay. Obviously equipped for an extended stay, the room was complete with fridge, stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. I'm pretty sure my own kitchen isn't as stocked :P. We had a (sidelong) view of the beach and walking there took just a few minutes. For my morning run, Pacific was accessible for beach views the entire way north to the harbor and partial beach views south to Carlsbad. Dozens of shopping and dining options were less than a mile away with two markets literally across the street. Parking was inside a small shared garage with plenty of space. We are planning another stay here soon.

Great home base
We were exceptionally pleased with the ameanities at this hotel. It is really a time-share place which rents out vacant rooms. As such, there is a stove, fridge, micro, TV connected to cable, VHS / DVD players, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dishwasher, etc. In short, everything to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. There was a pull out couch which was rather lumpy and uncomfortable but the hotel was in the process of replacing all of them. The king size bed in the bedroom was very comfy. The bathroom was a little tight but everything was clean. The shower was full of hot water and nice. The decore is pleasing to the eye and there is a nice pool and hot tub as well. The staff put out beach towels on the lounges surrounding the pool daily. There are 2 gas grills by the pool for having a cookout. Parking is below the hotel and in secure garages. Security is very good, not that you feel unsafe in the neighborhood. Some people need to know that their place is secure and it is. It is a 1 - 2 block walk to the beach but the fishing pier is a bit far. Oceanside has these lots where you can park for $3 for the whole day so you can drive to the pier or the main beach, hauling your stuff in the car rather than on foot if you wish. The only negative thing and it is slightly negative is that it is close to the railroad grade crossing for the Coaster trains so you are hearing the train horn somewhat frequently. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!
