Amazing property in a great location. They think of all the little touches that make the house extraordinary. Easy walk to town for coffee and donuts. From the pictures, I expected the beach to be easier to access but we made it work and our kids absolutely loved it. It was an easy ride to Carlsbad as well! Would love to come again next year.

Beautiful, peaceful property

We were completely enamored by this property. It is in a quiet area of the neighborhood, within walking distance of Buccaneer Beach and about 2 miles from the pier. We loved the privacy and space while also being so close to good places to eat and walk. We would come back in a heartbeat and no one wanted to leave!!

THE BEST!!!

This VRBO is an absolute must book! The home was incredible- so much space, super clean, excellent location, gorgeous views. The hosts were incredible and super helpful throughout our stay. Mindy went above and beyond to help us find housekeeping and to ship back a couple things that we forgot after the trip. Above and beyond service across the board. Everything about this trip and the VRBO were perfect. We will definitely be back again! 5 stars, especially for the excellent hosting!!

This was hands down the best vacation rental our large family has ever stayed in!I am not even sure where to begin - the location was perfect, you’re super close to both Carlsbad Village and Oceanside pier with endless options for shopping, dining and entertainment. The beaches were beautiful, lots of opportunities for surfing and beach combing and biking (which the house provides 6 nice beach cruisers and tons of surf boards, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc)The house itself was absolutely stunning - beautifully decorated, clean, everything is in well kept condition. They provide every thing you need. They have an ice machine that makes the good good tiny crunchy ice cubes too! Beds were so comfy I had to take pics of the mattresses to buy one for my own home. They also had a ton of extras like beer, wine, s’mores kit, kitchen Jesse cities, ample firewood and fire starters for the fire pit, beach toys, beach mats, an outdoor shower on the beach with hot water - 3/4 levels had fridges, including the cabana so there was no need to lug a cooler out. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the hosts (Mindy and LJ were both awesome), we will be back again for sure, it was worth every penny for the location and everything they include!

Our host was very flexible and responsive. The house was perfect-and the pictures were spot on! We had plenty of room for the family! And the sunsets….hard to leave that view.

Summer beach vacay

This house was beautiful and perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of space and it was very clean! The bikes that were available were very nice addition to all the fun. Gorgeous sunsets and s’mores by the campfire. Communication with the owner always very easy and responses were fast.

Amazing beachfront 4 level home

We enjoyed a peaceful & relaxing 1/2 week at this amazing & spacious 4 level home on the beach! Absolutely stunning view of the ocean with sliding glass doors on every level for easy access to decks with furniture to help you savor it! Perfect for adults & teens just wanting to chill. (It can also accommodate younger children - though it is decorated mostly in white which is very peaceful but easily stained & has a lot of stairs, including to the beach which is 1/2 sand & 1/2 rocks/boulders with a very strong surf.) This is an ideal place for 2 families to vacation together bc it has 2 master suites (one has an attached 4 bed bunk room), 3 other bedrooms w/multiple beds (sharing one bathroom), & a double washer/dryer set. The property offers helpful entertainment options including: bikes, beach toys, board/card games, multiple tvs, hot tub, etc. It’s in a great location: outside of the busyness of the city though near enough to use DoorDash, 10 min drive from Walmart, & 15 min drive into Carlsbad for dining & shopping. This home is highly recommended & I would excitedly look forward to vacationing in it again!

Wonderful beach home!

This home was so great, the location was perfect, the view was AMAZING, and the set up was great! There were all the things you need and possibly forget when traveling and I felt like we were in a home not just another rental. My favorite thing we did during our stay was take the hikes out and cruise around the neighborhood! It was so fun!! We would love to come back and stay again it truly was a great place!

Great Getaway

The property is beautiful. The interior and furnishings are all of a high standard. Perfect for a family and very manageable for 2 families. The private beach is a nice feature. The only downside is that there are only a few hours of main beach (actually touching the water) available due to rocks and tides. Perhaps that changes throughout the year. The owner was great to deal with. We would definitely stay there again.

Weekend get away

We were planning a trip with friends and were looking for an ideal house and location. The house and location was amazing. We were able to relax the moment we checked in. Plenty of outdoor space and unbelievable ocean view. The beds were very comfortable. I can’t say enough about how everything was above our expectations.

The home exceeded our expectations. It was beautifully decorated, conveniently located at the beach and near restaurants , comfortably furnished, and efficiently managed. It met everyone's needs so well that we immediately booked for next year!

Beachfront Family getaway

This is a great property , and is uniquely designed to have spaces where multiple groups can congregate separately , as well as hideaways where you can get away for alone time . The kitchen is very well equipped , and the different touches are very thoughtful . Also , the host has provided games , bikes , and plenty of beach gear . We would definitely stay here again, and have a lot of people asking us about the listing !

Incredible house, incredible views

LJ is the most thoughtful host and her house reflects the preparation and care she puts into welcoming guests. This is the kind of house that has everything you would expect from a high end vacation rental. Would recommend this place for any families looking to be right on the beach in Oceanside.

Get much closer to sand and sea then rent a boat!

Great home, tons of space, beds, bathrooms, rooms for all to play games, chill on multiple patios over looking ocean, waves and dolphins! Never felt crowded. Beautifully decorated, simply and tasteful ocean vibe with no fuss. Activities from surf boards, bikes with locks and helmets, sand games and a favorite - fire pit with s'more makings and hot tub to end the day! Owners provided all necessary items that most homes do not. We cannot say enough positive about this property, location or well though-out plans in home design. You definitely get your moneys worth here!!!

Perfect family beach house!

Beautiful, classy and cozy home. We loved spending time at this lovely home over Thanksgiving. Kitchen feels like home - literally everything you would ever need. The house lives great and allows everyone their own space. Beach area is perfect . Only drawback was weak wifi - not great for multiple people trying to work. But you shouldn't work when you are there anyway. Thank you for sharing this amazing home with us!

Beach Retreat

We had booked our week in September just before quarantine started in March and were concerned that we might not be able to go depending upon the protocol. Fortunately, our three generational family was able to get away to spend a fantastic week at the beach. We couldn't have asked for a better time. L.J. is a most accommodating and thoughtful host. The house was well cleaned before our arrival and stocked with pretty much everything needed - including baby gates for the stairways to keep our 1 year old granddaughter from exploring. The house and location are fantastic allowing us to quarantine at the house except for a few grocery runs. The little touches like cold beer and wine waiting for us when we arrived to the makings for s'mores was greatly appreciated and enjoyed! If you're looking to escape to a beautiful house right on the beach, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than this.

Beautiful vacation

We had a wonderful vacation at this beach house. The view is breathtaking and the easy access to what is basically a private beach was priceless, especially during Covid. Social distancing was effortless and we were able to really enjoy the house and beach since we didn’t have anywhere to go. The location is quiet but not far from shops and restaurants. In normal times, I think we would have enjoyed many of the restaurants and attractions that were nearby. But between the beach, jacuzzi, beautiful views from multiple decks, fully stocked kitchen, the beach cruisers and fire pit, we had enough entertainment to keep our group occupied and happy for 10 days. Communication with the owner was seamless, she was super helpful and responsive. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Covid vacation

The house was amazing!!! So much room for everyone. Everything was thought out perfectly for multiple generations. Our grown children and spouses asked if we could stay here every summer. I would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

One of the best vacation homes I’ve rented

The house was beautifully maintained. There is plenty of room for 17 people and two separate livings rooms for parents and kids to relax. I really enjoyed this property and I would definitely come back. The check-in process was really easy, the house was very clean, there was enough towels and toiletries for everyone. The town is really cute and downtown Carlsbad is less than 2 miles away. Thank you L. J. for sharing your home with my family!

This is a wonderful place for family to be able to stay together and still have space. They have everything you could ever need available to use in the kitchen, for the beach, and bike riding. It was a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend this beach property.

This was an AMAZING house and vacation destination! Beautiful house, gorgeous beach, quiet street. House was super fun for an extended family gathering, hot tubing, bike riding to get morning coffee, beach walks, bonfires & family dinners. Day trips to San Clemente & La Jolla & fun Carlsbad. Plenty of room to play or relax! Would love to visit again!
