Cute cottages. Cabana number 9 didn’t have a lot of amenities yet it served its purpose. Its a short walk to the beach and then stay was nice and relaxing. I plan on visiting again.

The cottage was built in the 1940’s or so and other than windows not much had been updated. The number of electric cords into the non-grounded plugs reminded us of The Christmas Story. It was a real hazard with no surge protector for any electronic equipment.Gas Fireplace was not working.

We stayed in Cabin #8 (Beachcomber) and it was definitely a bit cozy for our family (we have a 4YO and a 16MO). The furnishings felt dated, although it added to the quaint vibe. Everything appeared to be in working condition, although I wish the shower had a light in it. Location was average, we spent most of our time at Long Beach, which was about a 20 minute drive away. For $219/night, I expected more, especially in this area.

Overall just ok. The house needs lots of updates. I assumed you would be able to see the ocean but you can’t, it is a easy quick 5 minute walk. There was no extra stock of any kind of bedding. I called to ask her why there was none. I was asked I thought there was only five people in your group? I said there is but we didn’t all want to sleep together we wanted to also use the sofa bed because we didn’t all want to sleep in same bed. Sitting in the living room it’s not very roomy so it’s hard to all sit together and be comfortable. The house was very clean. While it was not a bad stay for the money we paid I thought it would have been a little bit nicer. I will say the grounds were beautiful and if it would not have rained we would’ve spent more time around the nice fire pit.

Make sure you include your kid during the booking. Otherwise, they charge extra afterwards, even if the room can accommodate you and kid. Ridiculous pricing when not really in a city or in a small room with a tv cable /networking that does not work nor internet that does not work unless it’s 5 am in the morning. The place needs to be updated as bathrooms and beddings are old. You don’t have a virw of the beach. However, it is nearby or just a short walk away.

This was my first time here as a solo adventure and it was beautiful and perfect. The cottage was adorable and the hosts were absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to bring my boyfriend next time to experience it.

Small little cabin that served its purpose. We didn’t have any problems except for the TV. There were two remotes,neither of which would change the channel from the news station it was on. We played Monopoly instead. Overall a good place to house a group of two adults and three children.

We've been coming to Klipsan Beach cottages for years and we often get in the same cabin but it doesn't matter, they are all excellent. Out the front windows, it is all dunes to the beach and yes, you can see a sliver of ocean just over the dunes and giant skies - no other houses or buildings block the view - it's a unique property.

Klipsan Beach Paradise
We had one of the absolute BEST family vacations ever! The house was so warm and cozy, 3 twin beds upstairs for our 3 kids and two more bedrooms downstairs. It was the perfect set up. The big long yard that has an awesome fire pit with benches, and absolutely breathtaking views of the sunset was even better in person than in the photos. The hospitality was perfect. I can’t recommend Klipsan Beach Cottages enough!

Best 3 days....
It was great. Took my grandchildren and bonded with them. I have stayed at the Klipsan before and recommend it highly. Beach within walking and the beach is seen off the deck. Will be back soon. Loved it. All the comforts of home.

Outside the cottage looks cozy. Then you walk in and find out that the mini fridge, microwave and toaster are in the bathroom. I really do not want to have to go into the bathroom to get a soda or heat leftovers up. The actual part that disappointed me the most was that the sliding glass door DID NOT HAVE A LOCK! Yes that was for real. Their locking method was a thin piece of lumber in the door sliding track...unbelievable. I have pictures of where the locking system should have been-there is not locking catch. I would not recommend this specific cottage but the others could be better inside.

Very well cared for property. Cottages are very homey. Inside the cottages are painted with bright but calming color. Furniture is comfortable. Pictures on the walls go perfectly with the decor.

Klipsan Beach getaway
Our stay was fantastic! What a great relaxing and safe getaway before going back to school. I’d recommend this hidden gem to anyone but book fast because it seems they are always full. Great amenities, hospitality and everything you need :)

The little cottages were SO cute and it was an easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, drinking wine, and enjoying the sunset. We definitely plan to return.

Great relaxing location. Nothing better than going to sleep listening to the ocean. It was a very quick 5 minute walk down a clearly marked trail directly to the beach. Very cute beachy decor. The one downside was the lack of coffee. There was a machine in the room with cups but nothing to make.

These adorable cottages were the best part of our vacation! Lovely and quaint interior, fully appointed kitchen and a huge deck complete with comfy deck chairs! There is even a peek a boo view of the ocean in the distance. From each cottage is a pathway down to the ocean for easy beach access. There is a very nice grocery store (Okies) a couple of miles away to stock your kitchen and everyone is so nice there. They have a contactless check in which is easy and totally convenient. We will be back again and again!

Absolutely lovely! This is in a lovely location - only a two minute walk, if that, from the back porch of your cottage to Klipsan Beach. Cottage #9 is smaller than all the others but for two people on a short trip, it was all that we needed.

Exceptional 3 night stay here over the 4th of July. Very friendly owners (and their precious dogs), beautiful well kept property and just friendly people all around. Klipsan Beach Cottages made this the best 4th of July in memory for myself/my friend, my 6 year old son and my parents (they stayed elsewhere but loved the 4th and want to come back next year if we can get a bigger cabin)! We will be back as often as we can on and off season. We were in the smallest cottage (#9) and it was beyond my expectations in size, layout, comfort, location and beauty. The chest freezer in the closet was a huge plus. Only one recommendation, since this cabin didn’t have a stove (it did have a microwave) - it would be awesome to have another fire pit/grill in the rear (even if shared) - but we had a small camp stove and fires ARE allowed on the beach, we just didn’t have the chance to check out the shared cooking area this time around. Additionally, internet worked the whole time but was very slow at times (though this seemed like a ISP thing and not the property itself) - but that didn’t effect our trip at all. Absolutely AMAZING sunset from the cabin itself and from the beach (short walk). We’ll DEFINITELY be back over and over again. Haven’t decided yet if I should recommend it to friends, since they might book it before me next year 😂 We can’t thank you enough for a phenomenal weekend!

Cottage was clean, decorated as depicted - colorful, and it has a full kitchen with dining table for 4. It was quiet. Within a 3 minute walk to the surf over well maintained trail through grass and dunes. The management was pleasant, helpful and it was quiet, except for the ocean waves in the background. Being in the middle of the peninsula so a short drive from all points of interest. Much nicer than the touristy Long Beach and larger resorts. Rooms were not large, but for the price, it was just right. TV & WiFi all worked. Thank you, Klipsan Beach Cottages!

Delightful older small cabin on the Long Beach-Ocean Beach peninsula. The one bedroom units are well maintained and appointed with indoor and outdoor living areas. Cable TV and relatively high speed Internet .(approximately 30 to a 100mb.) On site managers keep the place looking beautiful and can answer questions about the local area thoroughly and completely to enhance your enjoyment. The flat sandy beach is drivable with almost any type of vehicle and is reportedly one of the longest stretches of drivable beach in the United States. There are several access points to come on and off the beach if you so desire to drive or walk. The beaches and the view goes on for miles in either direction. There are outdoor games and a outdoor kitchen area for use by customers. The cabin kitchens are well equipped with all the necessary implements to reduce your costs by not having to go out to dinner every night. This is especially helpful during the restricted hours of businesses at the present time. While the cabins are best suited for couples or a small family, the resort is soon to offer an A frame home that will accommodate larger families or group of friends. Local small towns 2 to 3 miles away can supply all necessities you may forget to bring.
