Posting here in hopes the owner of this property know how awful Vacasa is with their property and those renting it. We continued to reach out to Vacasa, with no resonse and NOT even posted our review to their site.
The good:
• Location to the beach was amazing, it could not be any better. Come and go from beach to house, vice versa with ease.
• Great outdoor furniture on the decks.
• Beach not too crowded, even for 4th of July week.
• Umbrella rental right by the house.
• House provided beach chairs.
• Beds were really comfortable.
• Great that we had clean linens as part of our rental.
The not good, first time renting through Vacasa:
• The cleaning was not great. Couch and chair were stained, had food crumbs behind pillows and in the cushions. Stairs covered in sand. We went to plug in a vacuum to clean the sand and found more food scraps around the end table (but neither of the vacuums were working). The upstairs carpets were stained more than I can even describe. Even had a razor blade laying on the stove. And oh the poor owners of this property, people have done some damage to the walls and furniture, and whatever the cleaning company is using on your stainless steel appliances is awful, looks like a dog tried to clean it with their tongue. Tons of broken beach toys and pieces of a wagon or stroller were all out on the deck (we did clean this up and tossed unusable broken items).
• The cleaning quickly became the least of our worries. Those renting the property next to us (also a Vacasa rental) were having a weekend of parties, loud parties (someone was crushing it in beer pong, per what we could hear until 2:00 a.m.), smoking around the clock (when the property/complex is non-smoking and only a couple of feet away from us sitting on our deck area), and the poor girl drunk-crying from the top deck at 2:30 a.m. was just too much. We did speak to Vacasa, not sure what was done about it. Not sure Vacasa did any regulation of capacity, smoking, partying level, etc.
• Upon arrival we did not receive our parking passes and COULD NOT reach anyone from Vacasa to help; we tried multiple phone numbers, texts and messaging. I get that the weekend is crazy busy with check-in and outs but we could not talk with an actual person. The complex has signs everywhere stating that no parking pass = towed.
• Finally spoke to someone from Vacasa (she sounded irritated and exhausted before I even started talking), they gave mixed messages, info and no help.
