Great location and pool. Beds could be more comfortable / better mattresses would be a plus. Finish carpentry of renovations that have been done is a bit shabby / gives a bit of dingy feeling, although the unit was overall quite clean and everything was functional. No washer / dryer inside unit, have to use a community laundry room on ground floor which is 3.50 to wash and 3.00 to dry. At those rates the laundry equipment should be able to be well kept up, which it was in good condition and in a clean well lit room. Balcony sliding door is dated and doesn’t close / seal the best. Bad or missed repointing of bricks on numerous areas of building, which you can tell was done recently (last yr or two)For a 50 yr old brick building right on beach, things overall have been well kept. You can see the owners have been putting money into the place and the ones we ran into all seemed very friendly and happy to see renters. Some places we have stayed in OC have owners that act upset or annoyed with renters, but I did t get that vibe too much at this place. Overall happy with the experience and would recommend the property to friends looking for this type of unit / price range.
