Fun Beach Weekend Getaway with Friends

My friends and I rented this house for a long weekend this summer and had a blast! Walkable to the beach in OC, close to a few restaurants/bars in north OC, and the view from the rooftop is stellar! We had a great time! Check in process was simple, however you do have to drive down to the Central Reservations office further down in OC to pick up/drop off the keys. We are definitely interested in returning!

Not well maintained property

Dishwasher was full of mold Refrigerator was room temperature Toilet did not flush Property manager only responds 9am to 5pm Property is bare bones. If you travel a lot do not expect this property to be what you are used too

Super Nice Rental

When we visit OCMD we always stay in North OC. Rentals vary like marbles in a bag. I've never had a rental as clean as this one. It looked like we were the first renters of the season. Clean showers and tub. Good mattresses and pillows. Cookware was exceptional. New Keurig machine. A variety of window coverings that kept the hot sun out. Large Flat Screen TVs in each room. Full size LG washer/dryer. Underneath parking for 2 cars. Numerous outside tables/chairs for lounging. I did remark to the rental agency that the lights in the kitchen did not come on; a few nail pops in the drywall; microwave front was held together with duct tape. Please make sure the HVAC is serviced once a year - the air pressure felt down. The 3rd floor room has a window AC. Toilets are also very short (difficult for 5'5" me and 6'5" spouse). Also a mop would be handy because while the hardwood floors were vacuumed they needed mopping. My son's feet were black at the end of the day. Thank you for letting us stay at this very nice unit!

Fantastic

The location and property was perfect. Very short walk to the beach, and had all the needs and more for our week stay. The property has a lot of stairs, which was fine for our group. We enjoyed the roof top view, and the layout of the house was perfect. The home is stocked with everything you need, and more. Very clean and up-to date. I would highly recommend. We would have requested to stay again if we knew our schedules for next summer.

amazing vacation spot!

my friends and i had a wonderful stay at this location, the house was tucked away off the road but was only a short walk to the beach, there was plenty of deck space and the rooftop deck was a huge bonus. 10/10

Ocean Getaway steps from the beach

Great location and nice amenities for my weeklong stay with family. There was adequate space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own peacetime, and come together for meals. Bed sizes are smaller than I thought, they are on the small side of queen on the top floor, and twin for the 2nd level. Overall, had a great stay, the view from the rooftop is fantastic, and well worth climbing 4 levels of stairs. Would recommend adding a table in addition to the two lounger chairs, so folks can dine alfresco and watch the sunset. Parking is tight for 3 cars, two cars will be blocked in by the 3rd, so luckily we only had 2 cars.

Don’t stay in OC during Bike Week

Loc and everything were great. I would never recommend staying in OC however during Bike Week unless you’re into loud Harleys and extreme noise all hours—even at 3am. There are no warnings of this to visitors.

Labor day weekend getaway

From the check in to check out- excellent! House is very clean, comfy, and just feels you are at home. The roof top is a plus! nice view to drink your coffee, and relax the evening as the sun sets. Kitchen appliances are great, we were able to cook our own food. Nice & clean bathrooms. All working well. This house can hold a lot of people, plenty of beds to sleep on. Comfortable. Quiet area and neighborhood. Walking distance to the beach. Lots of stores nearby, grocery, pizzas, ice cream, church, liquor, etc.. Thank you! Q: We felt the house shakes from time to time?

Good value for the location (2 minutes to the beach).

There were some minor maintenance issues but overall the location was a good value for the money. We enjoyed our stay overall. It was a little tight for 10 people but we managed. Ocean view from rooftop deck was lovely.
