An absolutely lovely place to stay near the beach but in such a special little secluded property. The shared courtyard space with the hosts is so beautiful. We loved the outdoor shower especially too.

Wonderful charming stay at Stonegate Cottage . Clean, quaint ,character,safe and with beautiful gardens . Easy walk to the beach , also easy to drive and park there . 20ish minute to the famous boardwalk , lots of restaurants and water activities close as well.

Little slice of heaven on 142nd

My 16-year-old son and I had a wonderful time! The accommodations were lovely and the area was far enough from the sea of senior trippers to enjoy peaceful days on the beach, but close enough to any kind of action or eateries your heart desires. Bridgette and Matt could not have been more attentive, gracious or hospitable. Fantastic experience and I highly recommend!

First Ocean City trip

The property is very clean and nice and was within easy walking distance to the beach. It is in the northern part of OC and not as crowded as southern OC (but there are still lots of restaurants, mini golf, surf shops, etc.) The second bedroom is small and appropriate for one child or two very young children. The yard and outdoor sitting areas are very pretty.

Lovely Little Cottage

My boyfriend and I were in OCMD for Oceans Calling music festival and wanted to stay somewhere quieter. This cottage was perfect! It was exactly as pictured and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Parking was a breeze. Our hosts were communicative and so nice. We would definitely stay again!

A Magic Place

We had a wonderful and relaxed time at the Stonehouse Cottage in Ocean City. We were welcomed by our wonderful hosts Bridgette and Matt who were always there when we needed them but also gave us lots of space and privacy. The place was magic for us: quiet, relaxing, artistic, and spiritual. You feel like you are both in a Zen garden and a medieval castle while having all the modern amenities available for a good vacation. The beautiful beach is not too far away, and so are interesting restaurants and beautiful places. All in all, we had a wonderful two weeks at this generous place, and plan to return again very soon! A wonderful weeklong stay with my family

What a perfect cozy cottage for a short or extended beach stay. From the moment we entered the enchanting courtyard we knew our stay was going to be special. The house is so charming and unique with tasteful design throughout. It was incredibly comfortable too. The location is a short walking distance to the beach as well as a great home base for exploring both the Maryland and Delaware beaches. Matt and Bridgette were very kind, considerate and all around lovely people. Would definitely recommend staying here next time you make a beach trip.

Oasis By The Sea

Such a peaceful place to spend our vacation; a tranquil oasis next to the sea. This adorable cottage is only a short walk (4 blocks) to the beach and you have easy access to great restaurants and attractions nearby. We had a wonderful time. We could easily drive up and down the Coastal Highway and visit many of the seaside towns, my daughter also loved the location (shopping). Bridgett and Matt have created a serene, relaxing quiet getaway. They are wonderful hosts and the cottage has everything you need (and more) for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend the ‘cottage’ and we will be returning!

Stonegate

Staying at Stonegate what is the perfect summer vacation. Oh hosts, Bridget and Matt catered to every question with enthusiasm, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness. They are super hosts. Stonegate cottage is the hidden gem of the Eastern shore. We will certainly return soon. Erica

Unique and Beautiful

The cottage was perfect for our family of three. You can tell that the whole property was renovated with love. The hosts were accessible and friendly but valued our privacy. We loved the patio area and the closeness to the beach. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. We would definitely book again and recommend to others!

Wonderful little beach house!

This place is great. It is centrally located to Fenwick Beach as well as Ocean City Beach. It is far enough away from the main road where you do not hear all the ruckus all night. If you’ve got little ones staying with you, there is a small water park right across the street with putt putt and go carts. The property manager/owner is the greatest part though. Bridgette was so friendly and helpful when we were looking for things to do. She asked us everyday if there was anything we needed. The home itself is cute and just big enough for the things you’ll need at the beach. No wasted space!

Perfect little spot in the perfect location!

Stonegate cottage was the perfect weekend getaway!! It’s even cuter in person, the house has everything you need for a beach weekend, and it’s walking distance to the beach and the bay. Bridgette and Stone were awesome hosts - they had great suggestions for where to go and where to eat. We didn’t want to stay at a condo or a hotel - this was the perfect size for the two of us with room to spare. We’ll definitely be back.

Cottage was perfect

From check in to check out, communication with the host was excellent. She even offered a late checkout that we took advantage of to hit the beach one more time. The location was also great and within walking and biking distance to the beach. We chose to go to the beach in Fenwick as it was nicer and less crowded. Would come back again for a long weekend.

Boutique Experience

This serene and gorgeous property delivered more than it promised. My husband and I travel a lot and this hidden gem boasts a breathtaking exterior with gorgeous stone architecture and a sprawling lot with beautiful natural texture and interest. Think Falling Water. The interior was very spacious and well planned. This truly felt like a curated space with details that you discover over a period of time versus that hit you over the head. Everything you would expect from a luxury boutique hotel and more. Retro mini appliances, a barn door bathroom and industrial chic shower fixtures enhance the killer shower and great water pressure. Curated but incredibly cosy and comfortable. Bridgette, our host, was warm and so accommodating. We were there for a work trip and since she didn't have guest immediately prior to or after us given the off season she offered early check-in and check out without hesitation. She was also so helpful with local must eats and her recommendation for a great meal was just that. Overall a work trip that turned into a mini getaway because of our stay in this lovely place. The ONLY thing I'd change is the bed was very creaky and felt unstable. Not as comfortable as the rest of the place. This might also be because our bed at home is phenomenal, and better than any luxury hotel anywhere. So we're very spoiled on that score and it might be just that. Regardless we'd absolutely stay again!

One of a kind cottage sanctuary

This cottage is so beautiful, unique, tranquil and comfortable that you won’t want to leave! We didn’t want to go home! Only 4 short blocks to the beach and with amenities on the property that are only s available here! Artistically restored and created; there is a lovely yard that resembles a small wooded intimate park with a fire basket and koi pond. There is a common courtyard area with chairs, charcoal grill, table, fountain, trees and beautiful details everywhere! The hosts are very kind and attentive. They have excellent recommendations for restaurants , activities and services. Truly a special place.

Nice experience

The Stonegate Cottage is a wonderful property, well kept and private from the main house. The hosts couldn't have been more accommadating with knowledge of everything you would need during your stay. The kind of recommendations, only locals would have, much appreciated, would stay again.

Amazing hidden gem!

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the stone cottage! The house is nestled in a nice and quiet neighborhood perfectly located between Fenwick island and Ocean City. Convenient to the beach, mini golf, great ice cream, and more. :) The house itself was clean and comfortable with awesome decor and really thoughtful personal touches. It was well-stocked with anything we needed during the trip. There’s plenty of easy, open street parking and the house is walking distance to Harpoon Hanna’s! Bridgette and Matt were very communicative and accommodating. We had great conversations and listened to their local recommendations- we were not disappointed! Looking forward to returning one day, and will definitely choose to stay here again!
