We cannot say enough good things about the house. It truly was like a home away from home. Dee thought of everything. Example, night lights, paper products, fully stocked with kitchen equipment, lovely towels and the nicest sheets. The beds are comfortable. Plenty of closet space. I just loved the little sitting area in main bedroom. Also, the sweet scent of the flowers from the beautiful gardens outback. I could go on and on.The house was so spacious and SPOTLESS. I'd like to know her secret to her streakless windows. The washer and dryer worked great. The fridge with ice maker was very cold.The view is spectacular. We spent most nights out there while cooking on the grill and relaxing on the comfortable furniture. Parking was no problem.Dee was extremely friendly and answered questions within minutes. We will certainly try to book this lovely home if we return to Oakland.

Our host was incredible. Great communication and willingness to help out if we needed anything- which we did not as she had already provided everything we could need. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The decor is fabulous and every room, nook & cranny were made for visual and physical comfort. The view! Amazing and such a gift at the end of long days. We’re already trying to figure out when we can come back! We highly recommend this property and host.

Breathtaking Views, Comfy Beds, Plush Linens & Amazing Host!

We had an amazing stay in this beautifully appointed home! From the comfortable Tempurpedic beds, plush bedding to the amazing views from the 3rd story deck overlooking lush gardens and the city skyline, to the retro kitchen, this was an amazing place to call home! The convenience of entering on street level, but having such a high 3rd floor perch overlooking the city was impressive!We cannot say enough about our amazing host, Dee, and her husband Kevin, who were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and for providing guidance on local shopping., in addition to having a binder full of area attractions. We felt right at home, and will certainly stay here again!!!

Wonderful stay

Dee and Kevin’s property was so enjoyable . It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the view was amazing. The balcony was a great place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing, and Dee was so helpful in suggesting places to see and modes of transportation. The retro kitchen was really well done and provided all that we needed. If ever we’re back in the San Francisco area again, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Delightful Oakland Overlook

This house is poised on an Oakland hilltop overlooking the expanse of Maxwell Park neighborhoods and a distant profile of the San Francisco skyline. The interior is charmingly eclectic and the beds are luxurious. The location is convenient for getting into the city or out to surrounding communities to the East of the bay. Our host was very helpful and made our visit relaxing. She provided well written and organized descriptions of how to operate the1940ties gas stove and manage our waste. It is a particularly good accommodation for older adults who want to avoid steps. We'd be happy to stay there on our next visit.

You Will Love This Home!

If I could rate this 10 stars I would! Beautiful apartment with incredible views! Dee is an amazing host. She has thought of everything to make your stay the best ever. I’ve never had such a perfect stay at a vacation rental. We didn’t have a car so we took an Uber to the Oakland Ferry Station most days. It was such a fun experience riding the Ferry To San Francisco. We also ordered Uber Eats and Walmart grocery delivery. Both were easy. We had a perfect stay! Thank you Dee for all that you did to make us feel welcome. ❤️

Maxwell Park City Views

This is a beautiful & comfortable home with wonderful views of the Oakland & SF skylines. The home is located in a very nice, quiet & walkable neighborhood with easy access to transportation & highways. Dee & Kevin are amazing hosts that maintain excellent warm open lines of communication for any questions &/or requests that may arise. Check-in was seamless with information provided well in advance of your stay. All-in-all we felt almost as comfortable as being at home. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing views (so amazing), felt so safe, clean, comfortable, easy drive to all the cool sites!

The house is perfect. She has thought of everything and made the stay very easy. King beds were very comfy and good pillows. House is so clean and felt spacious. Big bathroom and nice full sized washer/dryer with detergent. The views ranked top of our list. Views from kitchen, living room, deck, dining room and one of the bedrooms. Had several meals on back deck watching sun go down over San Francisco and the bay. Quiet neighborhood, safe area. Free street parking but plenty of open spots steps outside the front door. This stay was so restful and enjoyable. 10/10! Easy access to freeway. The Safeway store near by was perfect for groceries and essentials. Depending on time or day it was just a fun 20 minute drive over the bridge to the San Francisco piers. Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, Palace of the fine arts, China Town and so many more cool spots. We can't wait to return and will be booking again!
