The home definitely felt like a home away from home. Jason and Pimmy were very responsive if we had any questions. The location was great, not too far from town and an hour or so drive to Yosemite.Definitely one of our favorite stays this far. Definitely recommend booking!

Jason’s home was spotless and cozy, making our family trip an unforgettable experience. Jason is a kind and responsive host who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We could truly feel his thoughtful touches for guests in every corner of the house. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to use, and even our 10-year-old dog was comfortable thanks to the prepared dog bed and bowls. Everything, including the BBQ grill and the jacuzzi, was clean and well-maintained. The scenery around the house was beautiful — we even saw deer, rabbits, and a friendly neighborhood cat, which made the place feel so peaceful. It was also very convenient to have markets nearby, and the location made it easy to visit Yosemite and Bass Lake. Our kids already asked us to book Jason’s home again for our next Yosemite trip!

The hot tub was perfectly hot after a long day in the mountains. House has everything you need, even stuff for pets like bowls and small bed. Plus if you travel with toddlers this is best spot. Will highly recommend to anyone traveling to the park.

Great Place to Stay For Yosemite Trip

We absolutely loved this place, it was just as advertised and very spacious for our family. Two large bedrooms equipped with large queen beds a full guest bathroom and nice master suite Inclusive of dual sinks and a nice shower. A nice perk was a great Weber grill and HUGE concrete patio off the back of the house. Let's not forget the hot tub that was great for our post hike leg soreness. Pimmy and J were great hosts and made sure our stay was special. Would absolutely recommend. Thanks again!

Perfect getaway

I had booked this home for my husbands and brother-in-laws birthday weekend to Yosemite, and let me just say it was perfect!! Close to the store if you happen to forget anything, not far from Yosemite. Check in was super easy, Jason is easy to get a hold of if you need anything and is a great host! Would definitely recommend staying at this home. 10/10

Very nice piece of property on a great location, for visiting Yosemite. We had three Vrbo rentals on this trip, this was the best by far, this was the only one that I could recommend to anyone, the only one that actually matched the description. We were very pleased with our stay here, and I would stay here again!

Was everything that was described.

Our stay was short, 4 days in total. Yosemite is less than an hour away, Mariposa only 30 minutes and Bass Lake is about 10 mins away. Oakhurst has an amazing Mexican restaurant El Cid!

Summer Weekend 2024

What a fabulous place!!!!! Stayed in August 2024 as a part of our family western US tour and this was a definite highlight. Beautiful and peaceful location and a pristine property which isn't done justice by the photographs (it's a fair bit larger than it looks). It was immaculately prepared for us and had everything we could have asked for. Jason was excellent in his communication both before and during our stay and couldn't have been more helpful with clear instructions on the property itself and recommendations for the local area. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone staying in the vicinity as you will not be disappointed!!

Really Nice Getaway Close to Yosemite

We had a great time at this house! The owners were really nice and left us a welcome gift along with communicating with us the entire time about fun things to do in the area and enquiring if we needed anything. The house was in a great, secluded location with a beautiful backdrop. Oakhurst was a cool little town that has grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. It was close to Yosemite and Sequoia National Park which is why we chose the location. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the Bonanza Chalet. The place was immaculate as others have commented as well and had everything we needed. The house is on a spacious spread of land and we enjoyed a BBQ on the back patio and the hot tub in the evening. The location is perfect to make a day trip to Yosemite or Bass Lake and the town of Oakhurst and we got to know several of the local businesses and restaurants which was fun. Would highly recommend to others and hope to return again ourselves one day!

Charming home

Perfect location, 30 minute drive to Yosemite south entrance. Property feels secluded yet minutes from the conveniences of town. Hot tub was perfect after long hikes in Yosemite. House was cozy and clean. Hosts were great!

Beautiful home great location

We had an absolute blast staying at this home for the weekend. The house was perfect for us and probably the best cleaning job I have ever seen from a VRBO. It was exactly as pictured and in a beautiful area with a great outdoor space! Centrally located to everything and 2 minutes from the main strip so going into town was super easy. Jason was super fast at responding and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. There was a welcome note and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, which we thought was super sweet and welcoming! And whoever decorated this house did an amazing job! Beds were all so comfortable and the closet space was amazing!! The house is perfect for adults or for a family. We can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway!

Wonderful...definitely recommend!

We just returned from our 3 day stay at Bonanza Chalet and everyone in the family (from 9 to 71) had a wonderful time! The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with thoughtful amenities for both human and canine guests. (We were also treated to a complimentary bottle of wine, while our 3 chihuahuas were welcomed with a fluffy dog bed, a raised food and water station, and complimentary dog treats and poop bags...). The hot tub was a great spot to relax under the moon and stars after a long day in Yosemite and the Sugarpine Railroad train ride, and the covered patio table under the string lights was a great place for evening family BBQ and card games. The grandkids loved exploring up on the large granite outcroppings and finding "secret spots" among the manzanita. On our last morning we even had a herd of 7 deer taking their own sweet time meandering along the edge of the patio! The family agreed that Bonanza Chalet was definitely a winner, and the host's care and attention to detail for the guests' (and pups!) comfort and convenience was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend, especially with kids and pets!
