The property is beautiful; however, the level of maintenance, cleanliness, and guest support did not match the cost of the stay.Upon arrival, there were multiple issues that should have been addressed prior to check-in, especially given the significant cleaning fee. These included: no operating manual for equipment (Google in the sauna) conflicting instructions for contacting assistance (a laser-carved QR code provided a number, yet I was reprimanded for using it); missing freezer shelves a broken freezer drawer; an out-of-service coffee machine; no body wash in the master bathroom; dirty towels left in the washing machine; and laundry detergent left uncapped, which spilled upon opening the cabinet.Additionally, the ceiling light fixtures were covered in dust and spider webs. This was a serious concern as my family has severe allergies. When I contacted the host, I was told no one could come out to address this because it was Christmas Eve. This limitation should have been clearly disclosed during the reservation process (e.g., no on-site service during holidays).There was also no garage door opener, the garage access code did not work, and there was no notice that the garage door automatically locks when closed, requiring repeated trips around the house to re-enter.Collectively, these issues reflect a lack of upkeep, preparedness, and guest support that did not align with the quality of the property or the nightly rate. This feedback warrants review.
