It’s a better view

This place was perfect! It had everything you could possibly need for a great stay. The condo was nice and clean. The deck was great for watching and listening to the waves. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Great OKI Spot

Great spot for a small family. Easy beach access. Go right for a shower to rinse off the sand, left for ADA mats. Clean and well stocked unit. Easy parking. our 2nd stay and would return.

Lovely visit

The condo is well equipped and had everything we needed for a lovely stay in OKI. The short walk to the beach is extremely convenient and makes this complex a great choice for a quiet and easy beach trip. Thanks for sharing your wonderful condo with others!

A better view indeed!

Loved the cute and comfortable space. The balcony was a favorite spot to hang out with a hot coffee or cocktail. Every detail was considered and made our stay easy to navigate. We had a lovely time!

Annual Beach Trip

When looking for a condo for our annual beach trip there were two must haves, elevator and short walk to the beach. This condo met both requirements and so much more! The condo was very clean, well stocked kitchen, and in a great location. We will definitely rent again!

A perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our time on Oak Island staying at A Better View. The communication was almost instant, the place was updated and clean. The beach closet was stocked with everything we could ever need for a day at the beach. The personal touches the owners put on this condo were very welcoming and appreciated. We can't wait to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who needs a relaxing beach trip.

It's a better view

We loved staying at the better view. It had everything and more than our own home. Sitting on the deck watching and listening to the waves was incredible. The condo was nice, clean, cozy and comfortable. The condo provides you with all the accessories that you need to have fun at the ocean. It was a very relaxing vacation and I would recommend this condo to anyone heading to Oak Island NC

A better view

It was a gorgeous unit. Really appreciated the elevator. Only drawback was that the west side is further from grocery stores, restaurants. But I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This is called Ocean Views which might lead you to think that it is oceanfront. It is across the street from the ocean. You do have a small view of the ocean between the two houses on the other side of the street. It is about 100 yards to walk to the entrance to the beach. It’s a very comfortable place to stay.

Really nice stay

This was the best equipped rental condo I’ve ever been in! Everything was well taken care of and comfortable. Decor was nice and entire environment was friendly. Would just recommend updated tubs/showers. Thanks for sharing your home with us!!

This was more than a better view....

OMG where do I begin..everything was wonderful... we had such a great time. We are a family of 4 including my sons service dog! We had everything we needed in this condo, I didn't have to bring anything (I did; not knowing, everything was in its place for us. We really wanted to be on the beach but it was good enough, short little walk will never hurt.. Perfect rocking chairs to just see the waves and listen at night. The beds were comfortable as well! It was clean and very quiet. Oak Island & Southport have great shops in town, lots of different places to eat, things to do as well but we ALL had one thing on our mind, THE BEACH.... it was gorgeous! We already started planning for next summer, can't wait.....

It is Wonderful!!!

We traveled with our young children and my mother to this piece of heaven. The condo had everything we could ever need. The bunk queen beds were perfect to accommodate us all. The location is perfect, just a quick stroll to the beach or a few minute drive to the bay. If the ocean was too much for my littles, we would go to the bay for the afternoon. When we needed a bit of local attractions we headed into Southport. We visited all the downtown shops, restaurants, as well as did both the boat tour and downtown bus tour! We also loved the new Candyshop on Oak Island and you have to try Burneys! We went to both places twice in our week stay! There is not enough space to write all the great things! Melissa and iTrip really have a wonderful place, and it’s even dog friendly!!!

Everything you need and a beautiful condo

This is our first trip to Oak Island, the owner was so helpful answering questions, leaving lots of information in the condo. The condo was on the third floor, we did not hear any noise at all from neighbors, stairs and elevator so easy to bring luggage up and down. Gorgeous views out the front porches, only one row of homes between us and the ocean. Our kids loved the bunk beds in the second bedroom. Easy access to a closet with chairs, beach toys, cooler, and kite. First time we flew a kite with our boys and they really enjoyed it! My husband and I could walk out the front of the building and go for a run on road in the bike path. To get to the beadh, we crossed the street and walked down about two houses, not far at all! Oak is close to a quaint small historic town, Southport and 45 minutes from Wilmington. We took day trips to both. My family highly recommends this lovely place to stay. It had everthing we needed for a family of four.

West Ocean Villas

Was ok even with flooded streets.Was not happy when I found out that elevator was broken but was under repair.Found out when we got there it was a replacement instead of repair. Also got the feeling that the owner was paranoid about someone might take a glass or dish.Also found out she has a neighbor watching also.Probably will not be using this site again Vrbo called me and asked if we had a dog.I replied yes and was ok payi g the fee.Mynoversight on filling out the contrac but having someone watch was a little creepy If you are going to rent thru an agent let them vette the renter, not spy on them.Also be straight forward and let the renter know all the facts about items not working.Especially elevator not working.My guest and I are both in late 60s and have heart problems.3 flights of stairs make a little hard to get up snd down.Ever heard of the American with disabilities act.So I had my say so rent at your own risk

Condo was clean , good location with small ocean view, well equipped. Had 2 Roku TVs with remote control NOT working had to call I trip service to change remote. King bed mattress was way over its life span . Primary bed room bathroom had a huge cockroach (very disgusting).
