Beautiful House, Incredibly Well Equipped
"Are We There Yet" was the perfect home away from home for our family vacation. My husband and I had three seniors (75) and four pre-teens/teens as well as our dog. The location was convenient to the beach as well as intercoastal waterway (although direct access via a dock on the property will be nice once built.) The bedrooms, decks and yard were lovely with amazing views. The elevator made the stay feasible for our older family members, particularly my Mom who uses a wheel chair. This was our first time visiting Oak Island and we especially loved the dog friendly focus. Our pup LOVED getting to travel with us and enjoyed daily morning walks on the beach. We did bring a dog crate for times when we all went out and left her home. The kitchen and whole house was the BEST equipped house we have ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted in terms of dishes and appliances, including extra water bottles and collapsible dog bowls for when we went out with our dog in tow. The house also had 4 full sized and 2 smaller bikes and a scooter, two paddle boards and plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards. The beds were the most comfortable I have found in a rental home. We will definately keep this house in mind for future trips. 10/10! Highly recommend! The only 4 star was because we were under the impression the yard and dock in the picture were part of the property, but they are not- a new house is being built in the grassy space between the home and dock.
