Great Stay

Great stay at Sophia’s place. The fire-pit and s'mores were a great end to a day of hiking. It was a nice touch that the firewood and s'mores were provided. Would recommend if ever in the New River Gorge area.

Beautiful views

This was a great place with beautiful views. The hot tub, fire pit, and games kept the whole family together and entertained while we visiting the area. Sophia was great and was quick to respond to all of our questions.

Our stay was amazing!

This is a great location that feels mostly secluded yet close to get to restaurants, stores, and New River Gorge NP. Hot tub was great and large enough to fit our family of 5. The kids loved all of the games in the basement! Kitchen was missing a few things but we were able to make due. Fire pit with the swings were a hit and the kids loved the s'mores. We saw deer and turkeys from the property too.

Everything about this place is lovely and well-thought out. Our family had a wonderful time in WV, and were always happy to return to a comfortable house with amazing amenities.

A great location for a long weekend with the family

We had a great time as a family! The outdoor space was great for the kids. The location is close enough to multiple towns and things to do. Everything inside the house was exactly what we needed with many added touches that were special - smores supplies, for example. The only issue we had was trying to stream anything on the TVs...internet kept cutting out. Not a big deal because we weren't there to watch TV, but something to note.

Wonderful place!

This place was a delight. It was so clean & well stocked with all we needed. The owner is amazing & quick to respond to any questions we had. The location is perfect. We are able to get to hiking trails in 25 minutes or less. The fire pit & swings are the perfect place to relax after hiking. Would definitely book again!!!

Best of Both Worlds

Simply amazing! This place is three minutes from a major highway yet you will never know that while you’re there, because it’s on top of the mountain and virtually surrounded by trees and nature. I would recommend checking in before dark as it is easier to find that way. This was our homebase for exploring the New River and surrounding areas. We were never far away from the next place we wanted to visit. The interior is modern with great Wi-Fi (which can be hard to find in WV) and TVs; the outside backyard area is set up with a fire pit, swings, plastic Geo dome and more for enjoying nature. S’mores supplies provided! The host was very responsive. Only difficulty was no access to washer and dryer on the premises unless you rent for five or more days (I misses this in the listing, there was no misrepresentation about this - we just did our laundry in town a few miles away.

Our group of 7 + 2 dogs had a great stay here! Lots of privacy from neighbors and close access to shops/restaurants in Fayetteville and hiking in New River Gorge.

Great house and amazing view

Our stay was great, we all loved the house, the huge yard and the amazing views. Felt like a remote farm house but very close to city center and hiking/rafting. We went right after hurricane Helene, they did a great job coordinating safety, cleaning up and dealing with a power outage right before we arrived.

Mountain gem

Our family if 4 (plus a friend of my 17-year old's) came to the New River Gorge for rafting & the bridge walk. The home is very convenient to ACE Adventures, & very private. We loved the fire pit & s'mores, Keurig was great- short drive to Fayetteville. Would recommend & will return. Soft towels, games & puzzles, & huge TV. Beds were comfy & we had an absolute blast!

Nice place!

We had a nice stay at this property and the host was very responsive to any needs we had. The location is on a hill and secluded so we had the area to ourselves. We loved the outdoor firepit space as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Heavenly Haven in West Virginia!

We had such a wonderful, relaxing stay with our family and friends! There was plenty of room for 7 of us to sleep and chill comfortably. We were close to the national park, activities, restaurants, and grocery stores, but still felt like we had a secluded space with unhindered mountain views right in the front yard. The views are breathtaking, and the home is cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated and maintained. We loved the fire pit and the s'mores bar, and the host was very communicative and helpful! I can't say enough good things about our experience! If you want a quiet space to enjoy the outdoors, I highly recommend this home!!!

Wonderful place, Amazing view

We had a wonderful stay with out family. The host was very friendly and communitive and check-in was very easy. The kids loved finding the smores' supplies and board games. House was clean and comfortable, and less then 10 minute drive into down town Oak Hill for grocery shopping or adventure. View was spectacular - I loved sitting in the swinging chairs by the fire, watching the kids chase fireflys.

Peace and privacy…close to adventure

We had a wonderful stay for a quick weekend getaway to raft the New River. Windy Farm is wonderfully secluded with an expansive view that lit up with hundreds of lightning bugs at the golden hour of sunset. Very nicely done new renovation, well appointed with everything you need, plus stylish and thoughtful touches like a fully stocked s’mores bar, record player, lots of board games, a powered adjustable standing desk, and spare phone charger in the bedside table drawer. The exterior space was awesome, especially the wonderful firepit area with swinging chairs and string lights. Quaint town of Oak Hill is just around the corner, along with the rafting/outdoor adventure companies. 100% would stay here again. Many thanks to the awesome host!
