My son and his wife stayed at this house they seemed to Love it there owners was very nice and helped us throughout getting our large family gathering put together. Renting 3 out of 4 homes worked out great for my 28 my family. It was so much fun.

Magee Marsh Birder Stay

A spacious place to stay close to the birds of Magee Marsh and Ottowa National Wildlife Refuge. A well equipped kitchen and two full baths compliment four comfortable bedrooms. Alexa will help with lights, the pinball machine and music.

Annual Miller Sisters’ Weekend

This home was beautiful and incredibly clean! The owners have completely updated everything! All the extra touches were great: Charging stations are every bedside; Kitchen fully equipped for a huge gathering of family-so many plates!; Hooks! Hooks everywhere! So convenient to have those hooks everywhere—So I could actually hang my bath towel to dry!; Extra towels, tissues in every room! No one gives you tissues these days! But Tequila Sunrise does! The owners knew what they were doing designing this place. It is suited to large gatherings and there are so many seating areas outdoors! Communication with the owner was excellent. We would recommend this home to any large group. They will have enough room to spread out and good seating for visiting and catching up. Or just relaxing.

Wonderful stay!

House was clean and very well stocked for any occasion or weather. There are things to do for all ages. We had a family holiday get together and this house was a perfect place.

Family Vacation

The house was perfect, lots of room for my entire family. All the beds were super comfy. Stacy was wonderful to work with. Overall, we had a great vacation and we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent lake getaway!

One of the best houses we've ever stayed in. Clean, great amenities, and super close to the beach. The owner was always just a text message away. I see a few people have complained the rules, but for us we felt like everything was just well communicated and there was no request that wasn't incredibly reasonable. Check in and check out were a total breeze. Excellent house, will definitely rent again.

Fantastic, Clean and Fun

We had an amazing stay! The house was so clean and used the square footage fantastically. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and the neighborhood was quiet at night. The kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed to prepare meals for all nine of us. We had fun with the bikes, the games and the golf cart. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing place with everything you need

First off, never had an owner call me day of check in to ensure I got in and everything was good, that was great. The place is amazing and great location with beach access so close. Do not pay attention to the “too many rules” reviews, it is the basic rule pick up after yourself. Did notice a slight cigarette smoke smell upon arrival but it went away after several trips in and out. Also, if you plan to be in the yard for games or fire, bring bug spray.

Eclipse 2024

We had a wonderful stay at Tequila Sunrise. Friends and family from across the country met up for a fun filled weekend leading up to the 2024 solar eclipse. The house has everything a large or small group needs. The beds were very comfy, which is a plus in our book after busy days! The golf cart and bikes were super fun. We are all fans of old and new pinball tables so having 3 classic tables in the house was a highlight of the trip. Just a great time and an unforgettable eclipse experience!

Great spot for a quick getaway

Property is awesome. Lots of toys for both kids and adults to enjoy and a large yard with a fire pit. Owners were super responsive and even called to make sure check in went okay! The property is also just 5-10 minutes from the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge which is great for hiking and exploring. Only draw back is the power plant nearby (mostly just an eyesore) but all in all we would return here for sure!

Overall lovely place to stay but....

We choose this home for our yearly lake house weekend getaway with our big family. It's very updated and beautiful and has everything you would want/need when you're away. A lot of things for the kids to do: bikes and a golf cart and arcade games. However, there were many many rules that made us feel nervous about messing anything up or we would be charged as it stated in the rules. On top of that, the check out process is quite a bit much to be out by 10am. Everything must be cleaned and stripped and put specific places and you need to broom sweep the whole house. We definitely could not relax the morning before leaving because of this list of specific instructions of things that need done in order to not be charged. We felt as though there needed to be a later checkout time to get all the things done and still have time to pack up your things. You also need to be very aware of the private property signs and any grumpy neighbors because it's very clear some don't want you there in their community. I will also say the owners are very nice and attentive and want to make sure you have anything you need. They were very apologetic about said grumpy neighbor. Otherwise, bring your bug spray....a lot of bug spray...and enjoy the beautiful house and lake.

Very nice, well-appointed house, but lots of rules

We had a nice stay. The house was full of fun activities and ample toys, games, supplies, etc. We did not want for anything while staying at this house. The one negative that I will share is there was a stifling emphasis on the rules, to where we felt nervous at all times about potentially breaking a rule. And nearly every correspondence that I had about the house prior to arrival was in regards to the rules and the contract. I struggled with being contractually obligated to water flowers while on vacation, the rule we can’t leave clean dishes in the dishwasher at checkout, no markers in the home, every item must be returned to exactly where it was originally found, extensive fines for lost remotes and not taking garbage to the curb, etc. It was a little over the top for me and put us all on edge. Apart from that, the home is lovely and well stocked.

Yearly Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay and it was a very good area with friendly neighbors. Great access to the beach and a lot of available outdoor activities and a nice mix of things to do. Overall we were able to go to area attractions like Cedar Point and still be entertained on calmer days in and around the house to enjoy our time. Loved the Tiki bar room for entertaining after the kiddos went to bed at night. The house had a lot of great features for a two-family vacation stay.

Great for groups with kids

The house was great for our group of families with kids. There are TONS of extras that you won't find in other rentals; the Arcade Games, Pinball, Bike Cart, and Golf Cart were all awesome. We used this as a base camp for day trips to East Harbor State Park and Cedar Point. The Blackstone griddle was great for preparing big meals.
