PLEASE do NOT lean or go near the front and back patio guardrails. Do not let your children go on the patio. The guardrails (and some floorboards) are rotten and have completely lost their structural integrity. It’s a 15 foot drop. The owner nailed small 2x4s to try and keep it in place and erected a sign, but it does absolutely nothing and is extremely negligent. The whole thing wobbles significantly. The entire front and back patios need replacing. I’ve raised it to the attention of the property manager, and I’ll be keeping my eye on the listing to ensure follow through as I worry they wont. My father and my 7 yo had like to go over. Otherwise nice spot. Smells a bit like dogs, but not too bad and was clean. Loved the foosball table, the space and the view (from inside the house and not the patio lol).
The owner installed a buttress in attempt to “hold” the guardrail in place. But it’s a total hack and absolutely useless. The guardrail wobbles significantly. I wish I could upload my video. BEWARE.

There were signs in the neighborhoood saying “No Water Service” during our stay. Water smelled bad and we couldn’t drink it. Apparently this happens often in this neighborhood. I wish we had know this in advance. I would have taken water. House was very clean.

Enjoyed our stay; however the house could use a bit of maintenance (yard was unusable for kids due to high grass and weeds) and house could be cleaner. Also the kitchen lacked kitchen supplies (only 2 wine glasses and 1 usable fry pan that was small). Deck was also unusable due to safety concerns. Location was excellent with close proximity to beach and hiking trails.

Perfect place for my family of 4

We just finished our Alaskan cruise and are staying for another week. This house was the perfect place to start our next adventure for my family of 4. I was able to do laundry, cook meals, and explore the area! The host company was extremely responsive and helpful. There were excellent recommendations and so much space (that we needed after being on a cruise ship)! Highly recommend!

Beautiful home and location

We had a wonderful time on Whidbey Island, and this home was the icing on the cake! Don't miss the sunsets, and if you are lucky (like we were), there will be Kite Surfers/Sailors in the small lake across from the ocean. We watched them for hours, and they were very impressive. The house was very nice and clean! We loved staying together and having coffee/tea and snacks. It's a great location and a great home! You will not be disappointed!

Convenient Location

The location was great with a short 5 minute drive to Oak Harbor, 15 minutes to Deception Pass SP, and a nice view of the water. Communication was great and the property assistant was fabulous. The fence was not sufficient for pets as there were loose boards and they could escape. Constant supervision was required in the yard. More lighting is needed along the driveway and near the back steps for safety. Overall, a good stay.

Good place to stay with a great view

I had to send a reminder email to get the ID verification process started. It wasn't too hard, but it is another layer on top of the Vrbo interface. The main room has a big window facing the water. The porch also has that ununobstructed view. I really liked that. I have a few suggestions for improvement, but overall, this was a great place to stay. The kitchen could be stocked better with measuring cups, rolling pin, etc. The chairs look nice but are not the most comfortable after awhile. The shower head doesn't put out much water. Otherwise, it was like staying at my own home.

Relaxing stay!

We booked this house for a work trip on Whidbey VS booking multiple hotel rooms. It was perfect! Great location, nice view, comfy beds. Being able to walk to the beach was really nice too.

Beautiful view

This house on a hill has beautiful views of the beach down below. It is also in a good location near downtown Oak Harbor. The house and the furniture are nice and clean. Communication with the host is informative and responsive.

family getaway

The property is terrific. Clean, relaxed, with updated décor and fully equipped for our needs. Beds were super comfortable! The house sits at the top of the hill as you can see in the pictures. Makes for some great views, but the tradeoff is that you are close to the road. Since it was summer, we had windows open and that meant traffic noise at night.

Family get away.

Very clean upon arrival, open floor plan, great views, spacious rooms, nice deck to sit and watch the sunsets. Joanne was very attentive. The location is very quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. It was a short walk to the beach.

Beautiful view of West Beach and the San Juan Islands

Whether you are outside on the deck or comfortable in the living room, you will have an elevated view of West Beach and across the water to the San Juan Islands. The house provides an exceptional amount of room, both in the main living and kitchen area as well as in the bedrooms. The woodstove adds the perfect foreground to watching the scenery change throughout the day.
