This was a flawless stay. Instructions were easy to follow, we were welcomed for our Thanksgiving stay with a few Thanksgiving items for our family’s meal, and the home was perfectly cozy with such a beautiful view.

Pros - great view and the house is spacious. Cons - house is run down (carpets stained, dishwasher door won't stay shut, etc.) and not the cleanest. As an example, to enjoy the view we cleaned the windows ourselves. The house smells musty, master bath smells like urine, cheap and dingy towels and it had the worse stocked kitchen we've ever had in a VRBO. They don't even supply a corkscrew. Pots/pans were thrift store quality at best, dishes and glasses were sparse and we had to wash them before we used them. If you are planning to cook at home this is not the place to stay. While there were four bedrooms, only one room had a closet (with four hangers) that was not locked and unavailable for use so you have really no where to hang clothes when you stay there. We contacted the property management company with some questions about the house and they didn't care about our experience.

This house was lovely. Big house, beautiful view. The only down side was the kitchen was very sparsely stocked. If you will be cooking a lot for 8 people, just realize that there is really not much in the way of supplies-not even a salt & pepper shaker. However, the property manager was great. The coffee maker carafe was the wrong size for the coffee maker. I complained about it and they brought me a new one that same day. Would highly recommend this house simply for the view.

Beautiful view

Stayed for a weekend and really enjoyed the house and the view! However finding mouse traps and droppings in a kitchen cabinet was not a pleasant experience. And finding the entry and key, and trash bins could have been a bit clearer. A bit disappointed we couldn’t use the hot tub or fireplace as well. Overall though, a nice house that worked well for our group and a view that can’t be beat!

Beautiful home with a mouse issue

There is no electronic door lock and you’re actually looking for a lockbox to get in. This, however, wasn’t an issue as one of the doors was unlocked and I gained entry that way. Everything looked great, and because we bought dinner at Pickles deli (highly recommend) we had no need of pots and pans our first night. Upon waking up the next day there was mouse droppings all over the counter and floor in the kitchen. I immediately contacted Vacasa and was put in to contact with Cara (the only bright spot during this whole ordeal. She came right out. I had Requested zip ties (to “lock” the door and Clorox clean wipes) she brought them no questions asked. She was able to get pest control out to set traps. The guy from pest control promised I wouldn’t see anything and promised if mice were caught I wouldn’t smell anything either so imagine my utter shock and disbelief when I opened a drawer to pull out a pan and right in the drawer WITH the cookware was not 1 but 2 mouse traps. So much for not having to see anything. I was Responsible for having to clean the cookware prior to using it and we planned a Friendsgiving for Sunday. To say dealing with the mice was embarrassing is an understatement. Thankfully my friends all have great senses of humor and found the whole thing funny. Cara promised a partial refund for inconvenience but VACASA is fighting it. It’s been a week so we shall see how this plays out. Cara is THE best though.

New Years get away

First let me start with the views of this home, they are spectacular! The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The beds were comfortable would be nice if there was a king size bed on the main floor. Now for the bad: There was a tree down on one of the driveways no big deal there is another driveway access but it had been down for awhile. The windows have not been cleaned for awhile (lots of bird poop)which impedes the views The kitchen was filthy the counter tops were greasy as was the stove top and the vent hood. The refrigerator had no light. The master bathroom toilet would not work. It has a pull up flushing valve that is broken so the tank wouldnt fill. Also not sure how to get the heat upstairs. The bathroom was freezing. The master bathroom sink needs new washers the pressure is great there but sprays water everywhere. The water pressure in downstairs shower was non existent. We all made sure to stagger our showers because we had read about the water issues. Would I stay here again. Probably but I would hope it would be cleaner.

Great spot with wonderful view

We had a great stay in Oak Harbor and really enjoyed the water views and lovely back deck. Rooms were nice and location was stunning. The only drawback is that the kitchen is only equipped with very basic inventory, so would recommend bringing what you need if you plan to cook.

Beautiful house in a lovely setting

Big, gorgeous house with a great view over the water. Central location on the island so easy to get places, and a nice little beach within walking distance. Road and naval air base nearby but noise was not a problem. Communication regarding the booking was good.

Great Coastal Getaway

We had a great time with only some minor gripes to report. If you plan on cooking your own meals, the kitchen is missing tongs, though the cooking utensils they do provide are honestly pretty nice. The pans are also very beat up, so food stuck to them while cooking and made it hard to clean. We also had one morning without hot water, but it came back on its own so not sure what happened. The house is beautiful and extremely well cleaned though, and the kitchen is huge enough for many meals. Enjoy the great views over the water through the picture window in the dining room!

Great house with a great view

Great house - minor changes to make it AMAZING!

Beautiful house, great location and views. To make it AMAZING suggest: 1) add additional pans to cook with 2) needs a 4 slice toaster 3) water heater for all but master bedroom seemed to be turned down - showers got "cool" 4) upgrade coffee maker - takes 30 minutes plus to brew 5) add ice maker or more ice trays 6) dishes were dirty - had to hand wash before use 7) provide more dishwasher pods-ran out 8) no closet space/dressers 9) add chairs for deck (only 2??) 10) consider electric grill for deck 11) no adult games or deck of cards even 12) queen beds in back room portrayed as on floor on web site, but bunks, not conducive for adults 13) right window in day room (top left of stairs) right hinge broke - air comes in 14) needs a blender or mixer 15) lights out in refrigerator 16) one bar stool only had 2 screws in seat - one fell out during stay while someone sitting on it (need to check all and tighten) 17) furnace blower started to run but changing thermostats had no effect - was not cold enough to run furnace or warm enough for AC Overall this was a great place, sharing these items as they are issues to be addressed or to make this place amazing. Breathtaking views!

The home is very comfortable, spacious and very well stocked. Lots of essentials were provided (coffee filters, paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, basic spices, travel size toiletries, etc). The only thing I would recommend is more outdoor seating/table to enjoy the beautiful view. There are only two chairs on the deck and no table. We had no small children with us, but I would be hesitant to stay there if I did. There is no fence at the back of the property, and the yard ends at a very high bluff over the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
