The cottage is located in a very nice private neighborhood. Pictures from the listing are spot on. CLEAN and well appointed!!! Access was easy with a coded entry. There were simple instructions for Wi-Fi & TVs. We enjoyed the enclosed porch which had ample glider seating, TV, pinball and arcade machines. There was also a small refrig w/freezer, games, toy chest. The porch leads to a back yard with a large shade tree and plenty of seating. Shower pressure was excellent with plenty of hot water. Bottom of one bunk was double bed size. Host was very responsive. We highly recommend this cottage and would stay again.

Great Location

My family and I stayed here while birding for a few days at Magee Marsh and Ottawa National Nature Preserve. It was a very convenient location for both of those places. The house is small, but laid out nicely and there was plenty of room for the 7 of us because of the bunk room which was great! We really liked the sunroom in the back as well!

Great screened in porch for woodsy hangout

Lovely little house that held our family of tweens, kids, and adults. Clean little kitchen, nice bathroom, exceptional lanai/screened porch for bug free breeze! House is part of a series of hones owned by a single owner who is very responsive. Private street is quiet and safe for kids. Coffeeshops, restaurants, and tourist entertainment was farther than expected (20+ minutes) but Magee Marsh park had excellent beaches (5 min drive). We enjoyed our time, and laughed about the cooling tower in the background of our photos! (For those unaware, Davis-Besse nuclear power station is 5 min away)

Memories for a lifetime

Really enjoyed our short stay. Neighborhood was super quiet, close enough to activities. Loved how child friendly the house was. My 5 year old found the “jackpot” of toys in the 3 seasons room! Super short walk to the beach access. We were the only ones there every time we went. Owner was super responsive! Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Lake/Beach House!

My husband and I along with our two boys ages 7 & 4, absolutely LOVED this place! Boys are already asking to go back! We were just close enough to all the activities we wanted to do. Also right across from us is a nice view of the lake. The house is well kept and very clean. The sunroom was our favorite room in the house it has a pinball machine radio mini fridge games and lots of toys for the kids. Great communication with the host as well and we loved Bootsy the neighbors cat! Great quiet neighborhood. The beds were comfortable the shower I had great hot water and wonderful pressure. The boys really enjoyed playing the Pac-Man machine and their bedroom. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for our Family

The property is accurately represented on VRBO and the Property Manager was very friendly and helpful even when we contacted her upon our arrival at midnight. (so sorry) We needed her help to find the additional parking across the street because it was dark out. She was very accommodating. The house was spotless and felt like you were walking into her home. Supplies were plentiful with multiple rolls of paper towel & toilet paper. The furniture was very comfortable and there are lots of DVDs and games for the family. The family recreation room in the back of the house is perfect for adults & kids to play. What we considered the highlight of our stay was the Vintage PinBall Machine! Yes!!! All of us from 7 years old to 62 years old were playing on the machine every opportunity we could. My husband & son-in-law went fishing in the mornings and we all visited the sights in the afternoon/evenings. We went to Marble head Lighthouse and Put In Bay. The back yard has a shed that has bikes for kids & adults along with beach chairs & toys. We never got board. Oh, I almost forgot, the beach access is just steps away from the front door. Also my grand-kids & I biked all over the neighborhood. So much fun watching turtles & birds. I highly recommend this property.

Vacation and fishing get-away

Loved most everything about it EXCEPT that the nuclear power plant is so close. so disappointed about that. but loved being able to walk across the street to a small beach area and see the waves on Lake Erie from the cottage windows.

Lake getaway with family

We loved our time at this property. It was a nice low-key place to enjoy the lake and family time. Everything was so convenient. The small beach access was just across the street. We had it all to ourselves each time we went and it was the perfect size for the kids to play. I loved that beach toys, towels, and chairs were provided so I didn't have to pack all those extras. The house was clean. The kids loved the arcade games and playstation for the times we were at the house. We would definitely come again!

Just Right

We always want to be close to the water where we stay and this house is perfect for that. All kinds of amenities for lake loving guests. Stayed on the back porch when I wasn’t at the lake’s edge. It was just right for the outdoors kind of person.

Good Location for Lake Erie experience

We enjoyed the property as a base to explore from Toledo to Port Clinton. We fished two days with local captains and had a great time. There were 4 of us and the house was more than sufficient. If you were bringing a big group it might feel small. The second bedroom holds several but everyone shares a single bathroom. Also be aware there is no washer or dryer for use in the home. The inside and out are well maintained and the hosts were very helpful and easy to deal with. The weather was great while we were there and we enjoyed ourselves. The access to the lake is okay but not much beach area. If you want to enjoy that you need to go to a public beach area like in Pirt Clinton.

Perfect location

I was impressed with the location of the property near the lake and the amenities and it was very comfortable. My husband and I slept well. It was clean and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was nice to have the TVs in all 3 rooms although we just used one. The bathroom was clean and the showerhead had the perfect water pressure. The 3 season room was very nice to sit and hang out and very fun. It was the perfect place to have our 1 year old stay with us comfortably. The owners are very communicative and information was readily available and easy to access. The surrounding area was very quiet and a nice location for us to get away from Southern Ohio. Thank you for making our first trip away as a family unforgettable.

Great cottage, location, and owners!

Very happy we chose this place as our homebase during the Biggest Week in American Birding festival! The location was perfect and close to all of the great birding spots. You can even bird right in this quiet, friendly neighborhood, which we did. :) ... The cottage was super clean and had so many features and amenities (I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of them all! Bikes, firewood, a huge, enclosed sunroom, you name it!). One more bathroom/powder room would have been nice, but we had a small enough group (6) that it wasn't an issue. Stacy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with! We will definitely be back (hopefully next year!)
