What an incredible stay! You can’t beat this waterfront location with all the cozy amenities you need. We were particularly impressed with the kids closet full of puzzles, games and books that kept our toddler occupied the whole trip! This host really has thought of anything you could need to make your stay extra special. Thank you!

1. The host sent out a questionnaire to make sure that they had all our information and to make sure that we knew the boats were out of season. They texted/emailed prior to our trip with all of the needed check-in information. This was a HUGE plus. Very thoughtful!2. This place is just beautiful. The location is perfectly placed between Coupeville and Oak Harbor. The waterfront was the reason for our stay and it did not disappoint. We saw a bald eagle pull a giant fish right out of the water! 3. This cottage has everything you would need to stay, from multiple pairs of rubber boots for beach going, flashlights, batteries, small can of WD-40! We definitely didn't want for anything. 4. The weather was a mix of stormy and sunny, which was what we were hoping for!5. The listing give you all of the information to make an informed decision for your stay. Don't sleep on this place it was amazing...the photos do not do it justice!This was the perfect spot for my friend and I to celebrate my birthday weekend without traveling far from home (2.5 hrs away). I am already talking about a summer trip with my two daughters. The island was breathtaking and relaxing. It was one of the best trips I've taken. Thank you for providing your wonderful little beach-side cottage for all to enjoy!

Once again we loved our stay at Sandpiper Haven. This is our go to place for a Whidbey Island vacation. It doesn't matter the weather because we sit inside with the huge windows and watch the waves crash during storms, and when the rain takes a break we walk on the beach. Absolutely spotless as always and so cozy. Thanks Julie & Peter, we will see you soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Sandpiper Cottage. The house was much better in person and far exceeded our expectations with a beautiful view, comfortable home and everything anyone would need for a relaxing stay. The guide book was very helpful and the location was great looking over to Coupeville across the cove. We would love to return one day! Thank you both for a wonderful experience.

The Sandpiper Haven is truly amazing! I have come back every year since my first stay. This is a 5 star home with 5 star hosts! Unbelievably clean and welcoming. The home has everything you need and you can truly pack light! The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with spices, condiments and coffee. The hosts have done many upgrades including air conditioning! The beach is private, and you often have it all to your self. The weather is amazing, the views are stunning. We watched a bald eagle perch on the dock, seal swim in the cove, fish jumping, and all kinds of wildlife from rare birds to deer on the road. Best location for site seeing on the island! We walked on the ferry for a day trip to Pt. Townsend, we explored Coupeville (the 2nd oldest town in WA) and nearby beaches, State Parks, lighthouses, and forts. We swam in the pool (which is really nice!)! Hosts offer use of a row boat and 2 kayaks. This year we chartered the SUVA schooner and sailed until sunset. I actually read a book for the first time in a while. Great internet. Fishing and crabbing gear is provided and a barbecue to cook your catch on (almost forgot to mention the lovely grounds and outside fire pit and private promenade)! I book a year in advance for fear of missing out! Book with confidence and enjoy your stay. You won't find better accommodations on the island!

Fantastic family spot on the cove!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage on the cove! It was so nice to have a private beach where the kids could play along with the outdoor deck, garden, and fire pit. The cottage was the perfect size for our family of four, and we had all the amenities we needed (included a full kitchen with everything including a blender for our daily smoothies!). The location was also great and so were the hosts. We'd definitely come back and stay again!

Terrific getaway

What a wonderful place! Everything you need and the property is pristine. The views and access to the beach and water feel like you are on your own remote island. Property owners are very easy to communicate with and are very helpful. 10/10 would recommend and return!

Another wonderful stay. Sandpiper Haven has it all: great waterfront location,walkable beach with mussels and clams, fishing dock, great views. The house itself has so many nice features and is well supplied. Very private with that “ away from it all “ feeling but just minutes away from Coupeville.

Magical stay on Penn Cove

We had a fabulous girlfriend’s getaway at Sandpiper Haven. The beachfront house was immaculate and beautifully equipped. The outside spaces were beautiful and well maintained. Our hosts thought of everything, and communicating with them was easy. The only thing we’d change is the twin beds in the second bedroom. While the queen bed in the other bedroom was fabulous, the twin mattresses were uncomfortable. One of us slept like a princess, the other had a rough night. All in all, we’d still go again because everything else was exceptional!

Peaceful Gem, Beautiful Views

This is one of those gems you go to when you need to sit back and just relax. Great location, short distance to Oak Harbor for restaurants. You're also close to Deception Pass to the north or Ebby's Landing to the south. You're in the middle of both so the best location for getting outdoors too.The house sits in a quiet neighborhood, with stairs leading down to the beach area. Amazing windows to just sit and enjoy the water views. We loved it and have it saved as one of our Whidbey Island favorites.

Lovely home and wonderful location

Really enjoyed our stay - great location overlooking the harbor. We searched for shells, watched the geese, walked out on the pier, enjoyed a fire in the fire pit but really just enjoyed sitting on the deck looking out at the water! So peaceful! Also enjoyed excursions to Coupeville (really great Halloween decorations all over downtown), Ft Casey & Oak Harbor! The house itself includes everything you need for a very comfortable stay - all very clean & tidy. We hope to be able to come back!

Amazing water view

Loved it. The house is cozy but comfortable with an amazing water view. A small jewel with access to a walkable shoreline. About 10 minutes from Oak Harbor, yet tranquil. You can see otters and an assortment of birds from the property Owners were great at following up and communicating with us.

Sandpiper Haven holiday

We greatly enjoyed our stay again as we have in previous years. Our favorite activity of the day quickly became wildlife watching, with seals, heron, and especially the diving waterfowl. Kapaw's Iskreme in Coupeville is the best! We also did a sunflower stroll at Scenic Isle Farm and the beautiful sunflowers were a wonderful photo op. Price's Sculpture Forest was a unique outdoor activity, especially the Augmented Reality exhibit. A real treat was the marionberry pie from Three Sisters Market just around the corner. Wonderful view, great food options, all contributed to a relaxing family vacation. Hosts Julie and Peter are great communicators, responsive, and make the rental easy.

Sandpiper Haven is the Place to Stay on Whidbey Island!

5 Star Sandpiper Haven is my favorite place to stay on Whidbey Island! Just booked 2 wk. trip for next year! You will not find a better waterfront home or better hosts. Premier waterfront location w/ 180 degree unobstructed views of Penn Cove, the Cascade and the Olympic Mountains, and your own private house, deck, promenade, firepit, and beach access. Just across the water from the Coupeville Wharf, and minutes from Oak Harbor, both with shopping, restaurants, activities, and tourist attractions. Home is super clean, private, and fairly secluded, on the waterfront in a very safe neighborhood with a community swimming pool (very clean & delightful), community dock (you can fish, swim or throw a crab pot off), and additional easy beach access, if you prefer an easy walk over the stairs. Sailboats moor near the dock, eagles fly over your head, blue heron perch on the beach, deer walk down the road, and there is endless beach to explore with agates, beach glass, and seashells to find. We walked for miles and rarely saw another person on the beach. Home is well stocked and you can truly travel light. Hosts are top notch, generous & accessible if you need anything, or have any questions. They even have a book of current local attractions, restaurant menus, Whidbey Island events and crab and fishing info. There are books for the birdwatcher and a variety for everyone else, games, puzzles, fishing poles, crab pots, 2 kayaks, and a boat. You will love this place & the amazing hosts!!
