The best part is walking out the door, through the landscaped yard and ending up on the ''Chop'' where you will take in the East Chop Light House and beautiful Nantucket Sound. Besides being located on East Chop Drive, you can easily walk to the local beach, downtown Oak Bluffs where you will find great restaurants like the Red Cat, The Chowder Company (which, by the way, has the best chowder ever), Lookout Tavern, Nancy's, Biscuits to name a few. Also, many boating excursions, fishing, pirate ship, ferry to Nantucket, the oldest carousell in the U.S., Mopeds and renting a car to cruise around the island. Fun shopping for clothes, tee shirts, beautiful island made items, etc. East Chop is the perfect spot for when you want to get away for relaxation and peaceful surroundings and only be minutes away from downtown from the hustle and bustle of downtown Oak Bluffs' nightlife; The Ritz is a must see where local musicians play 2x a night with no cover before 10:00.
