"Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location very close to the ferry terminal, only 100 metres. Family room ( 3 adults) in good conditions , comfortable beds and bathroom"

"The Royal is a great place for one night stop over in Stornoway. Gordon, who works at the front desk, was lovely. The staff in the dining room were both kind and professional. Diner in the hotel restaurant was superb. Bravo! And thank you!"

"This is a lovely hotel. It is said to be the best on the island. Food is great. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate. Service is first rate. The manager, Marcus, is charming and informative. I would absolutely stay here again."
