    Nestled along the serene northern coast, it sits right on the Caribbean Sea with approximately 240 feet of natural sandy beach and a vibrant coral reef just offshore—a snorkeler’s dream.

    With an oceanfront freshwater pool, dock, and long coastal views, it’s a relaxing escape for couples or families seeking a peaceful reef front setting.

    • Primary Bedroom: Spacious master with king size bed and access to a screened in balcony with hammock and ocean views.

    • Sleeps up to 5 guests comfortably, with the option to request air mattresses if you need extra sleeping arrangements.

    • Direct access to some of the island’s most notable nearby snorkel and dive sites (such as Mermaid Point Drop off, Skinny Palm Tree Reef Drop off, and Babylon) with the ability to fish or snorkel right from the dock.

    • Family friendly amenities available on request, including a high chair, Pack ’n Play, and travel crib, plus Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs to use around the island.

    • Your stay includes a convenient starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, a blow dryer, iron, and ironing board.

    BEACH & WATER ACCESS

    Northern Lights #6 sits directly oceanfront on Grand Cayman’s North Side, with approximately 240 feet of private natural sandy beachfront and beautiful views over a protected Marine Park reef. This stretch of coastline is wonderful for shore snorkeling and diving, with coral, rays, turtles, and tropical fish often spotted just offshore, and easy access from the dock’s swim ladder and platform.

    The beach here is a natural shoreline, better suited for snorkeling, beachcombing, and relaxing by the water than for long sandy walks or shallow wading right in front of the condo. Underfoot you’ll find a mix of sand and coral, and water entry is typically from the dock into deeper water over the reef rather than a gentle sandbar. For comfort, we recommend wearing water shoes or fins when entering the sea and always checking daily sea conditions before going in.

    If easy, classic sandy swimming is a priority, there are several great options a short drive away:

    • North Side and Cayman Kai public beach areas offer softer sand and more traditional walk in swimming.

    • Rum Point Beach and the Kaibo area provide sandy entry, beach chairs, and water sports, and are an easy drive from the condo.

    Many guests love the quiet, reef front setting here for its snorkeling, views, and peaceful atmosphere; please review the photos and description to ensure it matches the kind of beach experience you’re looking for.

    • Over the Edge Café – About a 5–10 minute drive east along North Side Road for casual local dining with classic waterfront views.

    • Red Sail Sports at Rum Point – Also around 15–20 minutes by car for Stingray City trips, snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, and kayak rentals.

    • Kaibo Beach Bar & Grill – Roughly 15–20 minutes’ drive for casual beachfront lunches, wood fired pizzas, and sunset cocktails.

    • Upstairs at Kaibo – Upscale fine dining above Kaibo Beach Bar, also about 15–20 minutes away.

    • Kaibo coffee spot – In the same Kaibo complex, typically 15–20 minutes away, great for coffee, pastries, and easy breakfast starts.

    GROCERIES, SUNDAY CLOSURES & PRACTICAL DETAILS

    Nearby grocery options such as Foster’s Express and Chisholm's Grocery are about 15 to 20 minutes away by car. Larger supermarkets are also convenient stops on the drive from the airport.

    Supermarkets are closed on Sundays in Cayman, though most restaurants and gas stations remain open, and some gas stations sell liquor on Sundays. Grocery items can also be pre-ordered and delivered before arrival.

    Chisholm’s Market is on the Northside, and is open 7 days a week, and is well stocked with food, supplies, beer, wine & liquor. 15 minutes from the condo.

    TRANSPORTATION

    • A rental car is highly recommended for this area so guests can easily explore Grand Cayman at their own pace.

    • Many guests book directly with trusted local providers such as Marshall’s Rent-A-Car, Andy's Rent-A-Car, or compare options through Kayak.

    • Public transportation is a short walk away, having a car offers the greatest convenience and flexibility.

We’ve been coming to Caymans for many years and thought we’d give the northside a try.If you’re looking for serenity, beauty, and just an opportunity to decompress and reconnect I’d highly recommend this property. Probably one of my best VRBO experiences to date!

Beautiful Northside

We've been to the island many times, always stay on the Northside. Northern Lights was a little bit of Heaven on Earth. Very clean with all the comforts of home. The hosts were very attentive and accommodating. We will definitely rent here again.

Quiet relaxing retreat!

This is an amazing property. It's in a very quiet area so perfect for relaxation. The condo had everything we needed to cook every night. It has chairs and an umbrella to take to the beach. Maureen was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this property! The only thing that would be great to have is pool umbrellas.

Fantastic family vacation

We could not have been happier. This was our first time visiting the Cayman Islands. The communication between the owner and agency was excellent and they went above and beyond to help make sure our stay and arrival was smooth. The house was very well appointed, and had all that we needed for a restful and fabulous holiday With our adult children. The location was amazing for peace and quiet, as well as amazing snorkeling right off the dock. The welcome gifts were so thoughtful. Cannot thank Maureen and Justin enough
