Quiet with great outdoor space. Safe and fun for family trips! Quick boat trip to stingray bay, snorkeling, and starfish point. Bioluminescent bay is right off the dock. Good 45-50 minute drive to 7 mile beach. Misquotes are no joke at night. House is decently equipped with additional items you can checkout at guest services. Only suggestion to make it a more enjoyable stay would be the option to leave the items you check out at the house without an additional fee as our rental car had limited space.

Nice house, but overpriced

This was our fourth summer in the Caymans. We always choose to stay around Cayman Kai area as we like this side of the island. The house is a bit dated and had some issues. Nothing that impacted our stay, but for the price, I would expect it to be a bit nicer, more updated, better shower, and the pool was pretty dirty when we arrived. The property manager was super responsive and very nice. We will stay somewhere else next time, just given we’ve stayed in nicer homes for a better price. But, for the right price it’s a good enough house with a great location.

Fantastic property and location

Excellent for walking to great restaurants and beaches. Ferry to Caymana bay is close by and convenient. Back yard and pool are perfect for lazy days in the sun.

Great location!

We stayed in the house for 7 days and had a great time. Pros: pool in front of house, sandy beach, grill, outdoor shower, very nice screened in porch, kayaks Cons: only one grocery store within 30 minutes, water damage on ceiling in one bedroom, no ceiling fan in one bedroom We really enjoyed the house and would definitely come back again.

Best vacation to date.

My family and I just returned from our best vacation to date. The house and location was absolutely perfect. We typically stay around 7 mile beach but from here on out we will be back to run point and hopefully this house.

Great Villa,

Had a great stay at Kailypso over Christmas and New Year 2023. Great Villa with a beautiful beach front aspect. Walkable dining options slightly limited but happy to trade that off to be in a quieter part of the island.

Beautiful Property

We chose this property to experience the bioluminescence and be away from the crowds. The bioluminescence did not disappoint! It is incredible to kayak and see it. We did this several nights. It is much better than taking an excursion and only seeing it once. We rented a car so we could go to several beaches and go into Georgetown but we stayed mostly at the property because it was everything we needed to relax and have a great stay. The pool was a nice touch to cool off when in the sun. The property manager answered any requests quickly. The only downside was Rum Point is closed for renovations until April.

Perfect stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Kailypso. The house was clean and comfortable. We ate every night in the screen porch. Mornings, we would go walk or run in the neighborhood. Kayaking during the day in the Bay and there is a ton of beautiful starfish right off the bay. Although Rum Point restaurant was closed for renovation, the Snorkeling was great. Bioluminescence at night was magical. We will miss this place very much.

Pretty as the pic and very relaxing

It is as beautiful as the picture! Clean beach right on the bio bay. We paddled kayaks each evening. I swam laps in the bay and ran in the mornings around the quiet neighborhood. Kayak to starfish point. Did many excursions within walking distance to Kaibo marina. It was perfect for our family of six (3 adult kids and 1 teenager). Highly recommend!

Highs and Lows

Let me start by saying the location was perfect and it is a beautiful property. Judy the property manager was very attentive! Now the bad.. upon arriving there were several things that quickly stood out: -the pool was dirty -there was hair from someone that had shaved all over the wall in the bathroom -the dryer was broken(Judy had it repaired quickly) -not as clean as expected. Dust and cobwebs -a large hole in the hammock -one of the 2 restaurants promoted as within walking distance has been closed for a long time(out of their control but should reflect on the listing) Again, beautiful property and amazing location it just needs some TLC. Bioluminescent bay is incredible!!!

COVID-19 Cancel

We unfortunately could not stay due to COVID-19 but the rental company was absolutely wonderful. They had great communication even before the airport shut down. Then they reached out to everyone as soon as the airport closed. They offered full refunds and did so in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this rental company.

Fantastic place!

This was a wonderful home to stay in. Very quiet area. The bay is awesome. We were checking in late and the manager even got us some basic grocery supplies for the morning so we had essentials. We hope to go back some day!

Awesome home in Cayman Kai

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kailypso! Beautiful property with an awesome pool and beach near Rum Point. The house is well appointed and was very clean and had beach towels ( a bonus!). The location is pretty and quiet and on the bioluminescent bay and a distance from the airport and from 7 mile beach. i would recommend renting a car if you stay in this area. Kaibo is a lovely restaurant nearby and starfish point is within walking distance as is Rum Point. We hung out at the house and in the area for half our time and drove over to Seven Mile Beach for the other half, so we got the best of both worlds! We had a family of 4 plus two and the house was perfect for our needs. Communication with the rental company was great and check in was a breeze! We had a great time and would love to go back! Thank you fior sharing your lovely home.

Our family enjoyed two wonderful weeks in the Kailypso. We all agreed that it was one of the best vacations we have enjoyed. We would stay there again and refer it to our BEST Friends.

Great house, great location for young families

We were 4 Adults and 3 kids and found Kailypso very comfortable. The pool was great and even better were the kayaks. We paddled around the bay day and night and very much enjoyed the bioluminescence! We enjoyed kayaking out to the beach at the bay entrance and snorkling. Starfish Point is a 5 min drive and was another highlight of our trip. Rum Point was even closer and we took advantage of the restaurant and the Red Sail watersports. The kitchen was fully loaded with all the cookware we needed and we just had to supply the charcoal for the bbq grill. We would definitely recommend this to other families looking for a peaceful vacation!

Enjoyed Kailypso!

Enjoyed our time at Kailypso - big pool, private small beach with dock in back of house - that water isn't great for swimming but kayaks are there to take you right across little bay to beautiful secluded beach w 10 minute paddle. There is also swimming at either rum point or kaibo both short distance from house - we much preferred kaibo and ate there regularly (great coffee also). Inside house was comfortable, had fast internet and flat screen tvs with good cable (e.g. Some movie channels and sports channels). Overall it was an excellent stay and I'd strongly recommend. Oh it's also in bioluminescence bay - so that was pretty sweet to kayak out in at night as well.
