Family visit

We were not the first to arrive so our son handled the check in, so I can't vote on that. The facility is very beautiful, very clean and has everything needed for us to enjoy our time there. We used snorkel masks and fins and two kayaks from the welcome center which family members enjoyed. Our nephew lives in Georgetown so we got to spend time with him and other family members which was wonderful. Overall, it was a wonderful visit.

Amazing property perfect for families

This is a beautiful property perfect for families. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The beach was great, a little seaweed right in front of the house but there were several clear spots to swim. The water was calm and there was great snorkeling not too far off shore. The property manager, Penni, and GCV made sure we had everything we needed and addressed any needs/concerns right away. We would absolutely stay at this property again!

Holiday paradise

Beautiful property perfectly setup for family fun. Minutes away from Rum Point beach which has undergone some wonderful renovations, restaurant & outside beach bar are fantastic. Perfect spot for a day of beach fun. Low key chill vibe is perfect for families looking to escape the chaos of 7 Mile Beach. Highly recommend

Great House on the beach

Stunning house on the beach. Accommodated 3 families with aplomb. Very usable kitchen, clean, lots of space. Would absolutely stay again.

Nice home for your family.

We stayed for a week in July 2023. The house was great for an extended family vacation. The main living area was the perfect size and the bedrooms were a good size. We enjoyed having the pool and being right on the beach. Best of both worlds.

Beautiful - Private - Hilltime

We absolutely loved our ten day stay at this location! If you’re looking for a place for a family get-away that feels like your on a private tropical island this is it! Our daily beach-front view was gorgeous from several windows facing the blue-green ocean. The furnishings were perfect with 4 of 5 bedrooms having king beds. The fifth bedroom had 2 bunkbeds. We snorkeled and kayaked in the waters out back that feature a reef. There was some seaweed but it was manageable. The pool is not on the ocean side and though it is not large it accommodated our family just fine! Larger grocery stores are about 40 minutes away but there is a smaller store close by for essentials. We did the touristy activities but this property was a private respite away from the crowds. Be sure to book a private charter thru Siverthatch - so much fun!We had a few issues but the manager responded each time …even replacing the outdoor grill with a brand new grill! We highly recommend this house/property and we plan to return!

We had a wonderful time…being on the ocean was great..Silver Thatch handled our kayak rentals and supplied snorkeling gear. Pool was wonderful!!! Had a problem with fuse in one bedroom, but Penny walked us through. We had pictures on the beach through with Alice, partner with Deep Blue Imaging…she was so professional and fun to be around…the house had perfect spots for great pictures. Was little farther from our activities but we did not mind the drive. Great restaurants, all recommended by Silver Thatch!

Wonderful vacation

We had a wonderful week at Hilltime. The house had everything we needed and more. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. The beach was amazing. We snorkeled, kayaked and paddle boarded everyday right off the back of the property. We saw tons of fish, sting rays, star fish, and turtles! The pool was also perfect for when we needed a break from the beach. We absolutely loved our time here and highly recommend it. The only thing to be aware of is you are on a quieter part of the island so it is a drive to grocery stores or restaurants.

Graduation 2023 Trip

Our visit to Cayman Islands was even better staying at Hilltime. This home located near Rum Point was the perfect location. The private beach backyard, snorkeling, kayaking, swings and the most amazing views. Plenty of bedrooms/beds and bathrooms. Beds were super comfortable. Everything you need has been provided, just bring your swimming suit ❤️ Our host Penni was wonderful and responded quickly when we needed anything. The beach location with the views, coral walls and swings was the perfect spot for our professional family photos we had done. Our photographer thought the the area was so beautiful. Thank you Hilltime.

Lovely house

We had four couples and the house was ideal. Close to Rum Point and good restaurants, Penni was very helpful and responsive. House is well appointed,views are amazing and the beach in back was larger than most of the other houses. We highly recommend.

Absolutely Amazing!

What a perfect place for a family vacation! Awesome layout, smooth process and I go on and on and on. We loved snorkeling, sea kayaking, the pool, cooking in the kitchen and enjoying the island. We will return for sure!

Wonderful. Upon arrival all my guests said "Wow!!" Very clean. Kitchen super well equipped. Beach and pool were fantastic. Plenty of towels and toiletries.

This house has it all!

Our trip was booked originally for 2021 but due to Covid restrictions we had to postpone a year. The rebooking process was simple and stress-free! We arrived at the house and let ourselves in using the lockbox key. The home was clean and tidy. We explored for a bit and then the property manager met us there, giving us all kinds of information about the house, grocery stores, restaurants and things to do. This house has everything! Ample seating both inside and all around the outside of the home. Every kitchen gadget you could possibly need! High end furniture and bedding. The decor was exactly what you would want from a beach home! We were a little disappointed that not all of the doors to the beach side of the home would open… mainly the one bedroom. So we weren’t able to gain outside access from the bedroom. The safe also didn’t work but we felt safe leaving our belongings with the house alarm set. We never felt anything but comfortable with the area and the people. The property has a very large beach area compared to surrounding properties. Again, ample seating with chaise lounges. The one disappointment we had was the amount of garbage on the beach. Plastic bottles, dozens of shoes, plastic bags, containers and pill bottles washed on shore daily. It made us a little nervous to have the children walk around without water shoes. There was also a lot of sargassum (seaweed) but I’m sure that varies depending on the time of the year. These things are no fault of the property owner, of course, but definitely affected our use of the beach. The pool was clean and refreshing. The set up was perfect with bathroom access from the pool area. Property manager Penni and the staff at the Silver Thatch were very helpful throughout our stay. The location of the home was great. It felt secluded but there were plenty of things to see and do within a short drive. The drive back toward George Town and the West End is also doable to see more touristy things! Overall I would recommend this house if you are looking for a place that has it all! Thank you for sharing Hilltime with us. We certainly fell in love with the island.

Relaxing week

Everything went great. The house had everything we needed. The beach area was nice, soft sand, and the management company clears the beach of sea grass though not during the stay. The pool area is great for an afternoon cool off around 4 it is no longer in the sun. The north side of the island is quite. All positive about this house met or exceed our expectations. The view from the living room kitchen area is amazing and worth it just for that.

Family Trip to GC

My wife and I brought two of our daughters and their husbands for a week of fun and diving. We came to get away from it all so Hilltime was the perfect place for us. Seven Mile Beach is a very busy and crowded area while Rum Point is much more laid back and quiet. The views from the house are amazing. We snorkeled right off the back beach and also at Rum Point which is only 5 minutes away. Grocery stores are reasonably close by. You can get free loaner snorkel gear, ice chest, and even a bluetooth speaker if you want. Book a boat trip with Silver Thatch while there. We went to Stingray City and a great offshore snorkel spot with Joe Linder. He is a great guide. Bob was very responsive to any questions we had.

We had a great time, the house was great. The bedroom with twins bed pretty uncomfortable and tv antenna was broken we reported first day but was never fixed. Minor issues. We loved the house and all and will be back

Wonderful time disconnecting and relaxing at hilltime

Wow! Our family of five, kids ages 14, 12, and 9, had such a beautiful time at this magnificent home. The kitchen is perfect for cooking, the room overlooking the ocean is magical, and the pool makes for added family fun. I will say the ocean is not pure, it does have seagrass in areas, but the fish were amazing. The best snorkeling was right outside our door. Rum point restaurant and activities were amazing and I highly recommend going there to see sunset. This home is heaven and a great place for us to disconnect and recharge before school starts. Only downside was there was no cable all week. We did rent an Apple TV which helped but hopefully they will fix that for the future!

Hilltime for a good time

Hilltime is a beautiful home with gorgeous views. Home is exactly as pictured. We enjoyed the quietness away from 7 mile beach. We had the ocean to ourselves. It is a little rocky so bring your water shoes. Kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. We also enjoyed grilling and eating outside by the pool. There are a few restaurants in Rum Point that we enjoyed (Tukka, The Lighthouse and KAIBO Beach Restaurant). While visiting 7 mile beach we had a bite to eat at Sharkeez (good food, drinks and music). The owner was quick to respond to emails as we had a few questions upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Hill for sharing your home.

Paradise away from everyone else

Hilltime is a great property. The pictures are truly representative of the property. The home is spacious and has all of the touches you need while you're away from home. It was wonderful having a private beach. During our stay, the seaweed was a problem across the island but a group of guys came at least twice during our five night stay and raked the beach removing the excess seaweed. The company also called and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a place away from the overly touristy area this was a nice private retreat.

Outstanding Visit!!!

Owner is VERY responsive in any help/needs you have. House is beautiful and view is even better!!!! Quiet relaxing location with easy and quick access to Rum Point! Beach is kept clean and beautiful, but be forewarned that the water is a bit "rocky" right in front. (You'll need to wade over the rocks to get to a more sandy soft spot). House has all the amenities you need, and what it doesn't have "Silver Thatch Services" can probably provide. Highly recommended!
