Rooms clean--floors do not go bare foot--your feet will turn black. Nice to have cooking things, save few meals eating at home. large family--However the pains are old and the Teflon is coming off pains are in ruff shape. The toilet seat I fixed-- we had to go buy soap for the dishwasher to clean our last dish and laundry soap for the towels-Per request of manager we clean our own things. We did get a heads up-Victor was coming out for the septic--the tank is by the pool--So I taken my family out for the smell is bad. I understand--Friday another guy shows up--blowing leaves for over an hour--gas blower very loud-then as we are by the pool comes up and talks to use for over a hour 1/2--He shouldn't have to work two job's--should be home drinking a beer-He is a botanist at gardens--Has kid in England going to school--list goes on and on about his personal life--what I learned about him was a lot and how exceptive thing are hear he should not have to work that hard. I am a labor my self--This was a trip of lifetime I saved up for- He came out Friday because he is busy tomorrow Saturday. This was a hug expanse for me--Week latter it is still bothering me-- Renting this home is 1/4 of my income for a year--home is amazing---Trip of lifetime --felt like i was still at work. Views were great---

The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. The house is very private and had lots of room for large families. The house had everything you needed for cooking and eating at the house. One note-they only have a Treager Smoker, so read up on how to use if you have never used one (it takes a little longer to cook verses gas or charchoal). The pictures are an accurate description and you're a few minutes from the Rum Point area. The house and pool was very clean. I would recommend this place if you are looking for ease to get around and would like to be away from the condos and hotels.Dean

Pros: Responsive host. Beautiful property, felt like a tropical paradise, we saw all types of birds including cayman parrots up close. Layout is unique. 2 brs feel like separate hotel rooms. Great for privacy with larger groups. So much screened space outside, we all enjoyed all the different options to relax. Pool area was amazing, lists of seating and floating apparatuses. Cons: 5th br is more like an open loft, accessible only by ladder. Not much of a beach across the street but could be if there wasn’t so much trash. Cookware needs an update. Overall, still a fantastic option and would definitely come back.

This place was perfect for our two families with kids. The pool, pickleball court, and pirate's nest provided plenty of options for the kids. The two separate bedrooms on the lower level were also nice for those that wanted to sleep in. I also really enjoyed the screened in lower area to relax in and listen to the sounds of the ocean. The property location was also nice that it was away from the busy part of the island, yet still close enough (5 min drive) to some kid friendly beaches. Rum Point beach and Starfish Point were nice options for the kids to play in the sand and water.

Summer family vacation

The location was perfect for us and the setup of the house worked well for us. Enough restaurants and places to visit and swim in the north & east end was nice. We loved that each beach we went to had something different to offer. Of course, stingray city and all the snorkel opportunities was the highlight for our group. Very nice you can snoknel right from many restaurants. The only two things I would suggest, if # 1... replace all the pots and pans. # 2: Ensure vacationers know the twin room off the living room is accessible by a ladder. This did not work out for our 7 year old. Our family didn't feel comfortable if she needed to use a bathroom during the night and had to climb down by a ladder. Pickelball courts and pool located in the front of the house with views of the ocean was perfect! Thank you.

Great quiet location

Had a great time! Communcations with everyone was good. Located on the north side. Called the Quiet Side. Very relaxing. The pool was an excellent plus. First time here with my family. There were 7 of us. Plenty of room. Thank you Fred and Sabine for sharing with us. God bless. Craig

Excellent in every way

Loved the pool, the hammocks, the 3 screened porches, the pickleballl court, the pool table, the pinball machine, the well stocked kitchens, the comfortable beds and the beautiful gardens. Our vacation week couldn’t have been better. This property is thoughtfully designed and furnished. The owners and caretakers are very responsive and helpful. Fantastic fun and great memories. Enjoyed our stay immensely.

Beautiful and quiet tropical get away

This property was pretty special and set up very well for our family. The upper level has two bedrooms with queen beds and a loft for two kids along with the main kitchen. The lower area is almost entirely screened in with the exception of two bedrooms and a smaller kitchen space (which were air conditioned). Kitchens were stocked with all the necessities you would need and the place was very clean.We spent pretty much all of our time in the screened in space and down by the pool. As the kids swam we could watch the waves on the beach. While we were there some cayman parrots stopped by along with many other birds as well as an agouti and even some friendly cats. Across the road is the beach, which as people have stated does have some trash, but also has lots of conch shells, corals and sea fans that wash ashore. Further down are tide pools with urchins and anemones.This location was really quiet, which we loved. Just down the road is starfish point where we saw lots of starfish and even rays that swam up to shore. Also rum point is nearby which has an incredible view of the sunset. We had a little hiccup with the air conditioning, but the owners were very communicative and helpful. Despite that we would return in a heartbeat.

Great Family Vacation

The only concern I have about this stay is worrying about when we will be able to do it again! Fred and Sabine’s property worked out great for our group of eight adults and two children under two! We used the pickleball court and the pool everyday. Not to mention all the screened in outdoor areas, two-three kitchens, and personal bedrooms/bathrooms. Fred and Sabine were attentive without hovering and someone stopped in nearly everyday to check and make sure things were going ok. I feel very grateful that we were able to spend a week at this property. We ate out several times but would not have had to leave the property all week. Chisholm’s grocery store just down the road is perfect for the fill in needs after stocking up on the other side of the island. Lastly but certainly not least, the snorkeling across the road and the ocean views are as good as any place we’ve been on the island, and we’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years! Thank you for this privilege!

Enjoyed North Shore Grand Cayman

Enjoyed this property so much! Great weather, quiet location & pool was a perfect break from the winter weather back home. Owners excelled at responding to all questions. We like to prepare a lot of our meals & found the kitchens to be very well stocked with utensils needed for cooking. Be sure to stop at Fosters for groceries prior to leaving George Town as the closest variety store to this home is quite expensive.Thank you Fred & Sabine for sharing your property with us. CHEERS!

Paradise

The house was perfect for our group of six. Separate rooms with their own bathrooms. The screened in porch was great with lots of room. We used the pool and pickleball court. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We were there in February, no bugs or mosquitoes while we were there. I would recommend seaside and would come back.

Stay Here!

I cant say enough great things about this house, the owners, and this property. The space was amazing and so well laid out for a larger group of people (there were 10 of us total.) We were far enough away to enjoy complete privacy, but close enough to all the things we wanted to see and do. Hal was great and even showed our guys how he fishes and catches lobster! The pool was lovely, the ample amount of screened spaces were ideal. We were able to watch the big games on the TVs and played pickbleball when it wasnt too windy. We spent a few days at Rum Point which is a quick 3 minute drive down the road. Across the road isnt really a "lounging" beach, but we were there often just soaking it all in. And the linens! I dont know where the bathroom towels in the sunset room came from, but they were heavenly soft. Bed was super comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The owners were very responsive with anything we asked and we will absolutely stay here again if returning to the island.

What a great place!!

We are now back in the great white north and missing Grand Cayman. We had such a great week at Seaside. There were 9 of us, 3 couples and 3 young adults. There was plenty of room and it worked out perfectly. The screened in Porch area was awesome. The kids used the pickle ball court and the adults hung on the screened in porch. The beds were comfortable and the AC we great. The kitchen was well equipped but the cookware could use an update but it was still very functional. Overall we have nothing but good to say, location, house and hosts were damn near perfect. We highly recommend Seaside for your next group vacation. Fred and Sabina you guys are great!

Great for Family Stay!

We absolutely loved staying at this property! The house was really well maintained and had all amenities to make the stay great! A total of seven stayed in the house (two families) - one family stayed upstairs and the other stayed downstairs. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and simply checked in during our stay, just to make sure we didn’t need anything. We look forward to coming back!

Like Family

It’s easy to write about a generic experience on a tropical island with nice weather where everything generally goes as planned, like at an all inclusive resort. Families that stay at a VRBO are looking for more freedom and less of that manufactured experience. They want a place that feels like it’s their home away from home. Things at home, wherever that may be don’t always go as planned so at a VRBO it falls on the host and their support staff to react to things quickly and manage situations. This host was put to the test with things none of us expected, and finally at the end of the stay, a category 3 hurricane. At no point did we feel unsafe because of the support staff and constant communication with the host. No matter the issue, the host navigated situations like we were their own family. Any vacation rental can post pretty pictures, but how will they react to problems or situations that are outside their control. Now we know, and I couldn’t possibly choose another place to stay when we return to Cayman, our home away from home.

Spectacular Property

Beautiful island home, great location!

We stayed a week and really enjoyed our stay here. The property is as described. Pool is small but nice and has great sun on it most of the day, but also has some areas of shade. We had fun with the pickleball court! Screened porch with fans was really nice in the evening.

Rum Point Vacation

Nice vacation on the northside! Beautiful Cayman style home with lots of amenities. Pool, pickleball, grill, screened wrap around porch and additional inside bar "man cave" available upon request.
